Sven thanks for digging this topic up - it's an interesting read. I really appreciate the dialogue here. Such as: It is quite revealing when we can be so candid about such matters to the benefit of a deeper understanding by us all. Thanks

In the meantime, I'm not going to take anything less as I've experienced something more. You shouldn't have to, but you were fortunate enough to experience what you want. The drawback to that experience, is that it can make all other relationships pale by comparision. Unconditional love is a rare thing, not to be squandered, and many never know it. Sometimes you can't see the connections until it's too late, or ever, and perhaps you can get another chance.

When you have it, you fear losing it... Almost to a painful extent... but the very thing you fear you may bring about yourself with that worry. RUTH. Thanks for sharing RA, your story was very touching and I am glad you felt comfortable to share it.

Ruth and Sven - thanks for the feedback and I find Sven's current catchphrase "without the hurting we'd never change" somehow quite appropriate for me right now. I feel kind of glad to have found this place.

I feel kind of glad to have found this place. So glad you are happy here. And sorry to mislead you with the RUTH part. I was trying to make reference quickly to Running Up That Hill, without having to type it all out. I really feel close to the sentiment in the song, I find myself running into it frequently. So, Xanadu, Xan or Zan, whichever you prefer is great.

I'm sorry for misunderstanding about RUTH (Running up that Hill) - I will remember that one ;D

Why are we drawn to another? Is it that rush from the first eye contact The first eye contact, is a glimpse at anothers soul. Sometimes we mistaken a feeling that we have at the time of the glimpse, for love. It is through eye gazing that we truly meet. This is one of the keys to become conscious of the other levels we constantly function on. When we meet another, lover or not, we communicate on levels beyond our comprehension. I believe true love is based on the higher levels of our existence that have nothing to do with the levels that we are conscious of.

If you (can) read Universal Code (as described in the thread of the same name on the 'Other Topics' board) then all things spirtual can co-exist.

I have just read and have understood your theories on the subject. They can and do co-exist, I'm simply stating that we are not always conscious of it.

The chemistry of attraction sometimes requires alchemy as however deep you dig the required elements may not be present.

The chemistry of attraction sometimes requires alchemy as however deep you dig the required elements may not be present. Even magic has a chemical or atomic component. The elements that are seemingly not there are just below the levels of perception. Precognition, intuition and predisposition can be honed, but can function as autonomic reactions.

This thread reminds me that we used to come up with some good stuff. I enjoyed re-reading from this topic. I'm going to re-evaluate the content of my posting here. The balance should always tilt toward the thought provoking and interesting (to me anyway) 'Too trivial or chatty makes me lose interest - but is necessary nonetheless to encourage conversation and light-heartedness. What is the chemistry of attraction to this forum? Please think about it and share your impressions.
