Yeah, forgot about Eurovision A whole null pointed International competition of the worst songs ever. A gigantic spectacle of all that is naff & kitch in the field of songwriting.. Already looking forward to next year.. NOT!!

My hero, Dave Barry, once wrote an entire book about bad songs (called, oddly enough, Dave Barry's Book of Bad Songs) where among thousands of entries submitted by readers, the clear winner was MacArthur Park. I also notice Wikipedia has a list of songs that have been considered worst ever (I love Wikipedia).

On the "New Wave Outpost" message board they had a similar thread and someone said "Wow" was the dumbest song ever written. Ouch!

does anybody remember the VENGABOYS? they were eurotrash in it's glory There is a circle of people who whenever they hear "We Like to Party" they will always think of me. I always seemed to show up at the bar when this song was playing. To the point where when it came on they would all scream, "SHEILA'S HERE!!!": And oddly enough more often than not it was then I would walk in the door! I am working on a screenplay about this and this song will have to appear in the film at least 6 times!

"Someone left the cake out in the rain - and I don't think that I can take it cos' it took so long to bake it and I'll never have that recipe again OH NOOO"..... I like Weird Al Yankovic's take on that song: Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark All the dinosaurs are running wild Someone shut the fence off in the rain I admit it's kinda eerie But this proves my chaos theory And I don't think I'll be coming back again

I think the worst song is "Stuck On You" by Lionel Ritchie. The only thing worse he did was father Nicole! I mean he used to be funky(ish)! WTF???

as if "Hello" is fun to listen to... I think that is actually from the same album. I hate Lionel Ritchie more than I should I feel ashamed for feeling such animosity.
