I would imagine they'll have expired in a hail of gun fire long before they reached 50..

Take a look at the photo at this link, paying special attention to the caption below it (it's a little hard to read, but worth the trouble if you want a laugh). babooshka.free.fr/Gallery/Kate-052.jpg ;D ;D ;D

another awful song from the 90's is the super cheesy "macarena" that dominated the 1997 summer. Ok now, most of the songs mentioned in this thread i can agree with. Now I'm not saying that I like the Macarena, but I mean if you were a record label, and they came to you with this one, all you would see is $$$$$ signs. It is a summer classic. As I mentioned, apart from the attractive female voice in the song, I do not like it. But it certainly is not in the top 100 worst songs. Maybe its success bothers you the most. I can understand that. I'm aware that this is a site based in England, so I'm going off on a limb here. I was raised in Canada. Every morning, along with the national anthem, they made us sing "God save the Queen". Now I hated this! I mean Canada does'nt even have a Queen! And what does she need saving from? Her actions? Will a mass chant balance her Karma or something? If someone could explain this to me, the meaning of the song, it would be greatfully appreciated. I don't mean to offend, I'm just answering this thread. "Cherrish-Kool & the gang" bothers me a lot "I just called to say I love you" & "Kung foo fighting" are up there on the list, as well as the "Everybody wang chung tonight" song. It is terrible I can recall a few Eurovision songs that are way up there, although the competition is getting a little better year by year.

Lordy, don't get me started on Eurovision..
Last Saturday saw all of the major European Countries - Germany, France, UK & Spain finishing at the bottom of the pile. Italy didn't even qualify.. These are the Nations that pay for the damned competition as well!
I'm always amazed to see how these barmy little countries vote for each other time after time, when less than a decade ago they were practising ethnic cleansing on each other and destroying their major Cities in useless civil wars.
Sorry WHP, can't agree about the standard going up - rather the opposite to these ears. Can't see how much worse it can get in fact. I don't even know why I watch it - I just rant at the TV while my wife laughs at me..

i hate the eurovision, it's became a european freak show that has no connection to music, i didn't watch it but from what i saw in the news and newspapers it was horrible. the only one that had dignity was my country's singer (israel, and i'm not saying this out of patriotism). the only case i'll watch it would be f iceland wassending bjork or england was sending kate to the contest and that's never going to happen

this is obviously a joke song and i don't think joke songs should be called stupid as an offence because they meant to be stupid

I'm sure that these are all worthy recipients of the Worse Song award, but there's a whole category we've yet to explore.. I'm talking of the anthems of various Sports Teams, that some buffoons have previously released for some inexplicable reason but probably related to cash. You have to go a long way to beat the 1970 England World Cup Football Squad, and their stirring little ditty "Back Home" (No wonder the Mexicans arrested Bobby Moore..)
