It's really not as bad as you think---It's a lot easier than John F. Kennedy---just link Johnny Galecki to anyone in "Roseanne". I can think of a few different ways to do it.

Oh, I got it now! I hardly ever watched Roseanne, so I had to remember what he looked like. But when I did, BAM! Johnny Galecki was in the film "Bean" with Rowan Atkinson! Need I say more. I guess I am a Rowan Atkinson fan! ;D Next up: Christopher Guest

Christopher Guest and Paul Scheaffer were both in "This is Spinal Tap", and Paul played piano for Kate on Saturday Night Live.
The next link is Jimi Hendrix.

While I thnk about Jimi Hendrix, I'll tell you the second connection (albeit a thin one) since it's sort of fun. Christopher Guest is married to Jamie Leigh Curtis, daughter of Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, who starred in Houdini, which was the original inspiration for the song 'Houdini'! I said it was thin! But I was thinking of the Spinal Tap one, this just came second!

Can I add another link--? I know it's not time to do one---but I want the two links to be Johnny Galecki and Warren Zevon, who died today. In memory of him, can we try to connect him to Kate Bush?? Can we do two connections at once? I think we can manage more than one at time in light of your remeberance of Warren Zevon. Here goes: Warren Zevon guest hosted as band leader for Paul Schaeffer on "Late Night With David Letterman". Paul had worked with Kate on "SNL'. While we are on the subject of passing stars, both Johnny Cash and John Ritter passed away today. Both are widely know; but, being myself a Nashvillian, I must remark that they are both from here. Johnny Cash represents the fundamental roots of modern Country music. He lived a rock n roll lifestyle before there was such a concept. He was a very great and kind soul. His voice and his storytelling will live on for ages.

Since no one else has tried.....Jimi Hendrix covered "Sunshine of Your Love" by Clapton = 'Red Shoes' connection. And now for something completely different...a man with one buttock...er sorry (Monty Python again) ....and since we're playing hardball: Yo Yo Ma

GeezOhPete?! I'm sure you had something more colorful here. Yo-Yo Ma is a famous cellist, classical and otherwise. Most recent music you might know: He is featured on the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" soundtrack. I just want to keep you in the game, and keep it interesting! I'm working on the connection...

Yo Yo Ma did music for the movie "Another Woman" starring Gene Hackman who was in "postcards from the edge" written by and about Carrie Fisher who was in Drop Dead Fred with Rik Mayall who was thanked on "Hounds of Love" and worked with her on stage during the 1986 Comic Relief project.
okay------uh-----how about Peter Fonda?

Even though we have already established the easlier Peter Fonda connection at the beginning of this thread... I tried to consider another... so here it is:
1. Peter Fonda in Easy Rider with Dennis Hopper 2. Dennis Hopper in Basquiat with David Bowie 3. David Bowie on the album "Edge of Christmas" singing "Little Drummer Boy" includes "December Will Be Magic Again" by Kate. (But I'm sure there's a better Bowie connection, this was just the first I thought of)
So, my next one is in honor of the late great John Ritter, he will be terribly missed.

John Ritter was in "Panic" with Donald Sutherland who was in Cloudbusting. What to do for the next link? I'm running out of ideas. I'm gonna walk away and come back to this... Okay I'm back the next link is--------------Jack Kerouac

O.K...this one was a little more difficult. I knew of Mr Keroauc from his novels and as the voice of the beat generation. But a tie to Kate Bush was hard without some research. But here goes:
Jack Kerouoac was the inspiration for the aptly titled "Hey, Jack Kerouac" by '10,000 Maniacs'. Natalie Merchant (former 'Maniac) is featured with Kate on the Ophelia web ring. Natalies album "Ophelia" is featured with Kate's back cover of "Hounds of Love" which she is quoted as having attributed the photo's inspiration to John Everett Millias' painting "Ophelia"
Since we've honored John Ritter here. The next link is Johnny Cash. Twist: you MUST use Tori Amos AND Trent Reznor in route.

But here goes: It was pretty rough, but I thought I'd add mine too, although too late, but it's still interesting: Jack Kerouac is mentioned in the lyrics for "We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel : "Little Rock, Pasternak, Mickey Mantle, Kerouac Sputnik, Chou En-Lai, Bridge on the River Kwai" Being a "piano man," he has toured several times with Elton John. Kate has done several covers of Elton John tunes, including "Rocket Man!" Working on the Johnny Cash connection, but the two of you are out for blood now! ;D
