In this on going thread, the rules are the same as for 7 degrees of seperation (or Kevin Bacon is a popular form as well). I'll start of with an example: Carly Simon: 1) Carly Simon's "You're So Vain" was rumoured to be about Neil Young. 2) Neil Young- Joined Crosby, Stills and Nash 3) CS&N, recorded "Woodstock" by Joni Mitchell 4) Joni Mitchell used Jaco Pastorius on her 'Mingus' CD 5) Jaco Pastorius toured with Weather Report (bass) 6) Weather Report used Peter Erskine often on drums 7) Peter Erskine worked on Kate's new project. See how it works. OK here's the 1st link: 1) Henry Fonda If you answer correctly you post the next one.

Wow, interesting game! This one's easy though... 1) Henry Fonda - father of Jane Fonda 2) Jane Fonda - Klute (1971) also starring Donald Sutherland 3) Donald Sutherland - Cloudbusting Video with Kate Bush So I guess I'll suggest another... but not too hard (I'm thinking maybe 3 steps!) 1) Johnny Depp I think I'll be better at attaching film stars than musicians. By the way, Al', how did you know that I play a mean game of 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon? ;D

Hey! you don't get off that easy. OK we'll bend the rules this time. There were several ways to get there. eg, Henry Fonda, father of Jane Fonda, whose brother Peter starred with Jack Nicholson in "Easy Rider" who later starred in "Five Easy Pieces" with Toni Basil who wrote "Love is a Battlefield" for Pat Benatar who recorded "Wuthering Heights" written by Kate Bush. OK now someone work on the one Zan posted.

Off that easy, mmm? Just 'cause I thought of a faster connection? ;D ;D I don't think the rules got bent, you're supposed to make the connection in 6/7 or less. I think it's 6, as in "Six Degrees of Separation" that the game's spoofing. So did anyone got the Johnny Depp connection yet? I suppose Al' thinks this one's too easy as well.

OOOH, you're right. It is 6 or less. Well with 7 or less I could probably connect any two humans on Earth. Anyway the rules are 6 or LESS. (the 7th being Kate Bush) Sound OK?

Good job Sheila! I was thinking the Depp/Bowie connection with "Labyrinth" then Bowie/Kate at Bosnian relief benefit in '94. But I'll stay out until everybody has had a shot. Now you get to post one Sheila.

There is only one person between them if you get the connection...---Edward Woodward--English actor, star of the 80's American series "Nightstalker"...I'm new at this game, please be kind to my mistakes... (Edward Woodward--isn't that fun to say? What a great name! )

Easy Rider is my favorite film! I didn't know that Toni Basil wrote "love is a battlefield" but I did know she was in the film. That one was pretty obscure, Altruest! (for the record I also have P.B.'s cover of WH)

How was Johnny Depp involved with "Labrinyth"? I don't remember him being in that... That must have been Jennifer Connelly. I get them mixed up. My memory has failed me. Oh well, I would have verified if you hadn't have posted your answer.

Is Edward Woodward your 1st link? I used to love Nightstalker. Wasn't Darrin McGavin the dectiective searching for the vampire? (who's name started with a 'K' Kopec or Khotec or something like that, my memory is cloudy tonight I must be tired. (3:oo a.m.)

Oops! Maybe Edward Woodward wasn't the Nightstalker! My brain was failing me too! (I think I'm in the same time zone as you Altruest) But Edward Woodward is my first link, that much I am sure of...

Edward Woodward was The Equalizer, not the Nightstalker, my bad. Sorry. I'm getting my creepy early 80's action shows mixed up...

Correction. After a little research this morning, I would like to correct and confirm a couple of things: * Toni Basil did not write "Love Is a Battlefield", but the team of Chapman and Chin who wrote her hit "Hey Mickey", also wrote 'LIaB' (the connection is still there; my memory was playing too loosely with the facts) * Warren Beatty was the most likely to be who "You're So Vain" was about (supposedly a composite of several men) not Neil Young. The point is moot, in that it was rumor anyway. There were still connections with Simon and Young. Just keepin' it straight. * I was correct however about Darren McGavin being the "Nightstaker" The name I was searching for was "Kolchak" It was the highest rated made-for-TV movie ever. I always want to keep the facts straight here. Please help me do so.
