"And dream of sheep": I will never forget my amazement on this direction the album had taken the first time I heard that song. For me it was like taking a tour in a wonderfull new world called "Kate Bush Kingdom" (or should I say Queendom.. nah..)

I voted for ''Cloudbusting" A great collaborative effort that just nudged out ''RUTH'' as my favorite. It might change tomorrow. But ''Running Up That Hill'' is straight up Kate - her signature piece. ''Cloudbusting took more vision and co-ordination.

"Jig Of Life", it's so uplifting and kind of spiritual in a strange way. And who else other than Kate would add a jig to a concept album about a drowning lady?

I'm assuming these are ongoing polls...

It looks like this is the second time we are doing this. I'm all for doing again! Ask 50 Kate fans "What's the best Kate song" and I bet you get at least 30 different answers!

Waking the Witch.........sonic confusion Can totally dig that! It used to be my favorite but when I heard "Hello Earth" on headphones on a swingset off of a lake in the northwoods as I saw lightning crash on the lake when I was 18---oh you had to be there...

Pushed hard by "Dream of Sheep" & "Hello Earth", I have to vote for "Running Up That Hill".
I agree it's her signature piece and utterly definitive. Everything that is writer/performer Kate Bush, is in this song:
Intelligence, emotion, empathy - a question that should be so obvious (but isn't) explored with clarity and outstanding musical arrangement skills.
A remarkable metaphor..

This is actually an impossible choice, but I vote for "Running up that hill" (Even though any one of "Cloudbusting", "Hello earth", and "Dream of sheep" could have gotten my vote depending on what mood I'm in.)

Just has to be RUTH. It's such a fabulous song, and really inspirering (I have really bad spelling, so excuse me, it's not my fault), and it's all I have been listening to this week, so maybe I'm ever so slightly biast, but I haved a long week, so it's the best song for right now.

I voted for RUTH as it was the one that got me hooked. I remember seeing the video and just thinking it was so powerful and hypnotic. It remains to be one of my favourite Kate songs.
