I love it when you people find these things-it's like show and tell. This one should win a big prize, and I love what the creator says in his very last line...... Now excuse me while I go back to Saturday morning house chores and stacks of old Grace Jones lps! La Vie!

Hah'. Proves my point even more how current music (And even music from a bit farther back) lacks originality.

It looks like one flatters the other. Thanks for the link, I really enjoyed it. I get what you mean by a joke. But it dosen't seem funny at all. It's fascinating more than anything.

And did you notice: both sing in English.... First of all, that site is supposed to be a joke (it says so in the last line) so anybody taking this serious.... well... you've been had, your leg has been pulled. Secondly: if you search heard enough you'll find that any artist has a link with any other artist (Mrs. Bush would be connected to Marilyn Manson if you look hard enough). So... nice link, let's move on.

Marilyn Monroe and Kate Bush? What planet are you from? Artists, especially from your fabulous country of Holland, are some of the MOST distinctive and unique in the art world. I won't begin to name them here. I think we appreciate and celebrate the Tori/Kate thing (which by the way is getting tired), but our legs were not pulled, and the creator should be noted for his efforts. We got his point! You may move on..just go around us!

Please don't use the expression "slip of the tongue" when talking about Marilyn Manson again. KTHXBYE

Are you in touch with Miss Man? What has she been up to lately? I dare not google her, but would love to hear from any true fans as she did make a mark, IMHO.

Poor old Tori.. The similarities are always going to be there, though the 2 artists are growing ever more different. It's not her fault that Kate came first - that's just an accident of the calender. Neither is it her fault that she's a red headed singer/songwriting (brilliant) piano player of a certain look and shape. I know the link was intended to be less than serious, but I've never felt that Tori set out to copy Kate. She came along at a time when female artists were starting to take chances and to take directions not previously taken before. A time when it was becoming possible for lady pop artists to be taken seriously. Not that it really matters, it's just that Kate was there first. What was Tori to do? Change her whole approach because someone called Kate Bush already existed and was further up the field that Tori also intended to plough? I agree, it's time to put the debate to bed and celebrate both artists for their huge contributions, their exceptional talents, their memorable work and their integrity. Thank God we have the two of them I say..

There has always been something stuck in Tori's craw, as I see it. The dilemma of being overshadowed by Kate i.e., constantly reminded of the similarities. Would Tori have been able to plow the ground first. We'll never know.
A major dissimilarity is the mystique that Kate maintains. Tori can be petty and capricious. Conversely, Kate says what she wants heard through her music. Her measure of words and patience in interviews can be remarkable.

Tracey Chapman needed the fly swatter too during the tsunami she caused with her first lp.......being a huge Joan Armatrading fanatic from day one, (well, day two really...(Whatever's For Us took a while to depart London for NY), the musical and style parallells flowed from the critics pages daily but Tracey was Tracey and Joan was Joan and Tori is, well the rest is herstory!
