My God, it's the gleesome threesome ! Nice work again guy(s). Thanks. All sides of me are proud of it. There were no expectations here. 'Just wanted to pull all the pieces together and show my insides to all. It is, obviously, about letting go of hatred and embracing peace. A peace that surpasses religion and politics and one that connects soul to soul using the universal code. One that we all understand - peace through *unconditional love. * conditions such as affiliation, denomination, race or politics.

Nice one Sven! Man, I should start posting songs, eh? Nya, mine are all shite. I wish you would share some of them. I feel kind of silly throwing my thoughts out to usually no response. I won't stop, mind you. But it is nice to hear a complement or acknowledgement now and then Thanks. There's alot going on here today, but must return to work. See you guys tonight.

TSUNAMI 12/27/04
Over there’s a supermodel grabbing to a tree Trying not to fall a victim To the earthquake at the bottom of the sea. Making a salthingyer grave Of her Phuket holiday
And people are digging graves with their bare hands
Is this the end of the world? Is this the end of the world?
Yet those people are burying their loved ones Not questioning their faith With their bare hands
And they leave it to the grace of God They leave it to the grace of God What else can they do?
Over there’s a Swedish toddler wondering what will be Trying not to fall a victim To the earthquake at the bottom of the sea But he’ll manage to be Back to his family
And those people are burying their loved ones Not questioning their faith With their bare hands
Did they ever think Is this the end of the world? Is this the end of the world? Is this the end of the world? Is this the end of the world?
If not then----------- What now…
OH MY GOD I CANT EVEN SAY THE WORD "SALT WATER" BECAUSE IT CENSORED "T WAT" TO "THINGY" !!! « Last Edit: Aug 7, 2005, 2:26am by Sheila »

"Nascar Jesus" - Great fun! I get a serious country vibe from this one..
Actually, (and I'm sure this was intentional) you've caught the whole let's link Jesus with something completely inappropriate lyrically, gag brilliantly. So many US country artists do this (if I may be permitted to observe), and the results are often hysterical to these ears.
Love that Tsunami thing too Sheila - I'm thinking prog rock revivial, a 22 minute song going through several different moods in a voice that sounds like a cross between Gabriel & Jon Anderson. Wakeman on keyboards of course, and lets set the thing to a ballet on ice while we're at it..

"Nascar Jesus" - Great fun! I get a serious country vibe from this one.. Yeah, it's supposed to be a parody of those hideous 'clever' country tunes. There has already been several links with Nascar racing to politics and religion. There was a car painted as an ad for "Passion of the Christ" when the film was being aired. Also George Bush (or one of his henchmen) had coined the phrase "Nascar Dads" as the evangelical swing vote that would unseat the more liberal 'Soccer Mon' category in the past Presidential race. Anyway, this song is so inappropriate on so many levels. But could hardly be a success when it ridicules it's target audience. I appreciate you getting the connection.

I actually believe the song as enough 'hook' and ambiguously identifiable lyrics to be a commercial success. I'd hate to have my name as the songwriter though.

I agree - it could work certainly. I've been half singing it under my breath to Nashville Cats, by whoever..

I was kicking myself the next day after posting it 'cos I could not get the 'hook' and tune (that IS similar to 'Nashville Cats') out of my head. A sign of a possible million seller? If I can get a Brit to bite then it's alright! Out of sight!

Musically it always ends up sounding like "Pictures of You" by The Cure. I seem kind of stuck there.

Every storm
Every storm that comes into my life Is just like a bullet I thought that I was proof But I guess that I was wrong
I'm putting my hands in the ground So the wind won't take me But then somehow
I want to be a cloud Float above the water Break the chains that brought me To where I am
If the birds can So why can't I Fly
check the music to that in my web page (the link in my signature). i uploaded it and it will be there shortly
