~for J. MB
April Wake up lazy Tired and yawning No reprieve Wanting to live a sun Tired of the moon time for a change. ~a. fern. p

Cybele
Tambourines line the aisle she dances down flicking her cloak spinning along in silver cloth she is beautiful so beautiful goddess.
(Cybele is the Phrygian embodiment of the earth)

A cinnamon kiss Of sunstreaked skin A memory deep Alone within Of ice queen kisses Frozen tears Glassy wash Of long-gone fears

Under the ocean there is a hush only the movement of a few tiny fish no need to fight held by the waves lost in tranquility a world that saves

I've had it with you Don't slam the door in my face You will hear me out No matter how long it takes I'm up to my ears In stories of 'faith' I'm driven by fury And this is my place It's none of your business If this is too late I say to you, 'friend' Did you want me disgraced?

Tumbled stars Fear in their eyes They are alone Completely despised Don't let them fall too far away They deserve to see another day...

Cross the river raging depths there is so much in its waters years of history the boats which travelled these seas in the days of the Vikings the boats which opened another world these are their seas their streams of adventure with so much hope you can lay in the river watch pain wash away and then swim over to the other side it's so easy

To my inspiration - be inspired!
I used to be a preacher girl I used to love their god Until one day a friend came up And said 'you can't be a preacher not the way you are' I asked her why, and she replied 'he knows about your Friday nights'
'Do you think a real god would care?' I fumed 'what I do when I'm alone? That's between me and whoever I'm with' 'You have some cheek!' she cried, she yelled You must know that it is wrong!'
'Yes, that's as may be' I told my friend 'But do you really know a god so mighty whose fury would descend on me for filling someone else's need? And that beside, my god is here' I pointed to my heart with faith and conviction, and asked her 'Do you see the god in me?'

Straight Down the Line
Cain forgot his crime And went on To sire a whole line.
But none could forget His punishment.
And so they went on Repeating his crime Until they remembered.

Adena, it's good to see your muse is back. I especially like these...Music: Loreena McKennitt - All Souls Night (hehehe!) Tossed so harsh on the rolling sea Loved so much by the raging river Kissed so sweet by the trembling sun Held so long by the careful giver Trees and songs and circles of candles Tears and thoughts of things ahead Laughs and snips of life well lived In song of night to wake the dead Ask for nowt but get so much Gift of night, of shadowed tears Dance on hate and live on memories Remember all those times of fear Light and love and sands of time Talk and fear of things ahead The sea which washes clean the tainted In song of night to wake the dead Bitter Sherbet Take your seat With the connoisseurs In front of the voluminous platter of life Sit at the table With a mug of light Grin your way through the feast Tickle your tastebuds With all that is there Ah... Bitter sherbet. Cybele Tambourines line the aisle she dances down flicking her cloak spinning along in silver cloth she is beautiful so beautiful goddess. Under the ocean there is a hush only the movement of a few tiny fish no need to fight held by the waves lost in tranquility a world that saves

Cast off from the shores of bitterness Set sail for the Cape of Good Hope Don’t lay there becalmed for too long a spell All we need’s a strong mast and some good sturdy rope
Take your spyglass and scan the horizon The wind is stiffening but we shall prevail The love that awaits us - vast as the ocean May you find your epiphany once we have set sail

midnight fury phantom dreams vicious songs animal screams
a summons from the god of night is truly a most painful fight
