Have any of you seen some future event that has infact come to pass?

Sometimes more than I'd like to admit. Disturbing.

I recently had some spirtual revelations after visiting a wholistic - new age shoppe. I was drawn in by a gong in the window, but once inside there was a distinct vibe that really came over me. There were Egyptian artifacts (replica's of course), music (hey Al, they were playing Shusheela Raman ) and especially rocks. I had been looking for geodes for quite a while. I don't like to buy these on-line because you really need to touch and see them up close. After buying (and spending too much ) several geodes, amythesits, quartz, artifacts, candles, incense and chimes (the gong too! ) I have really connected with the spirtual aura and vibrations given off by all of these items. Can anyone else identify with this kind of experience?

I can relate to these sentiments Sven. I have often expressed how vibrations may be ( my theory anyway ) the source of all positive and negative energy in the Universe. As a drummer, vibrations are key to a harmonic connection with the ambiant environment. So 'bang a gong' Also I love geodes. They are like a time capsule full of spirtual energy.

I bought a Saint Expedite medal in New Orleans that ended up putting a hex on a taxi dispatcher. I am banned from taking taxis in New Orleans now. No, I swear, this really happened. Very strange...
I've also predicted several deaths. (Greta Garbo, Kurt Cobain, Jerry Garcia, my Grandfather, River Phoenix, John Candy, just to name a few) Now I won't allow myself to guess how long people have to live because I spooked myself.

I can't exactly describe all the bizarre experiences I've had. Some have been about death, some involve dreams (I have very vivid and extreme dreams ). The most regular experience I have is intuition, I suppose. The most recent was that I had a terrible nightmare about a brush fire and I could pin-point the exact location, about a half mile down, in my neighborhood. I went to work the next day, a little shaken, but alright. I was also taping a show on network television that day (which is very rare, I hardly watch network television, but there was a special I was interested in). So, that evening, I settle in to watch the show, and local news breaks in to announce a brush fire in the very place that afternoon (about 2pm) and local authorities were watching it closely and had it almost under control. Needless to say, I was pretty shaken. I usually get very strange feelings when odd things will happen. They're hard to interpret, I just try to acknowledge them and hope for the best.

Now I won't allow myself to guess how long people have to live because I spooked myself. You're spooking me to.... don't think too much about any of us in that way, if you know what I mean. Actually, this brings up an interesting question (Sven, are you listening?) that could be explored on your control board. Here goes: Do you think being openminded to the supernatural and certain unexplained phenomena allows you to experience it? I'm sure you can understand my direction and word the questions better. But I think that by believing our subconscious mind can tap into powers we have yet to understand in our waking world, we can begin to experience it. I tell myself to be open and not fear what I dream, and they have been more strange and unusual. Am I crazy, or does anyone agree?

I agree. The more in tune you are, the more you will see. This is reminding me of the new series "Kingdom Hospital" (if you haven't seen it, it is well worth checking out. It's on Wednesdays on ABC, but I think they are moving it to Thursday.) Only the open and the people in comas or vegetable states can see the spirits. The flipside of the coin is, well I've got a saying: Those who want to see a UFO, will. Do you know what I mean? If you want to be in tune with the supernatural bad enough, you might trick yourself into visions that may or may not actually be there. I think part of being in tune to the supernatural comes from being open enough to question the true motives of certain visions. Dreams that come true, well that's another story. I usually have pretty stupid dreams unfortuneately, but it sounds to me, Zan, that your subconscious really is sharply in tune to the chaos, like you could see the butterfly flap it's wing that will like a domino effect cause a hurricane in the Carribean. Am I making any sense? Sometimes I can't tell.

Hell Xan, you don't just like the Twilight Zone, you and Sheila ARE the Twilight Zone. I have kept an open mind on matters of clairvoyance, the supernatural and strange phenomena. I would like to have had an experience of my own, but it's never happened. Or if it has, I haven't recognised it as such. Perhaps I'm just unintentionally rational. Or perhaps I should be careful what I wish for.. Sven, are you sure that's incense they sold you and not dope? [sighs] People all around me with experiences and/or enlightenment/conections. When did I get so tight assed? I have enjoyed all your insights - this thread suddenly got good..

Ok. Here's where I get into trouble! Maybe I shouldn't say anything. I feel Altruest on my shoulder shaking his head. How can you feel intimidated by someone you've never met? Or have we? (Nigel, Lincoln 1653. The thought sends shivers down my spine. I am sure you will feel it Zan, quite an experience) I can see so much. Some of it involves you guys. A round table on The Isle of Man in 2008. Kate is there and some of you (mentioning no names) are dumbfounded that it actually came true. Now you believe, we can truly go to work. Na! Its just one of those annoying dreams of The New One, The one marking time, making it up as he goes along. Get real, it is not possible to see the future is it Al? You'll see.....................................................................

I've kinda chalked this one up to coincedence, but let me throw it out here and see what you think. When I was new to my current job, I was only allowed one vacation day. I had to choose what day well in advance. I chose a random Monday so that I could go to the lesbian karaoke bar Sunday night. (I am straight, I swear! At the time I had a lot of gay friends, one of which, Dave, was a true diva not to be missed...) That Monday, I slept in and tried to relax, but for some reason I was inexplicably upset and nervous. It wasn't a fun day at all. I had butterflies in my stomach, I wasn't sure why. The day I chose------- Monday, Sept 10, 2001. I swear I'm not making this up (no, really, you gotta hear Dave sing! )

There are 17 people visiting this board as I am posting this. I have a distinct feeling that Kate Bush is one of them. .

Either: (1) I underestimate you, or (2) Realise your wicked sense of humour. Whichever one, there is so much more to you Altruest than I have thus far credited you.

You underestimate me AND are just now getting my sense of humor. Ask yourself this - What sixteen guests would be visiting at one time?. It was not just Kate, there were a few EMI marketing folks here as well. I am not averse to tapping into my intuition. I do, however, have disdain for charlatans and self serving proclaimers of psychic leadership.

Kate was among last night's guests because she trusts our opinions and she wanted/needed some titles for her yet to be named songs.
