A 'Woomera' Was used by the aboriginese to propel a spear further. You can hear 'Woomera' in the background vocals in the dreaming. The boomerang, not do be confused with the woomera, usually returns to the hurler after it's flight. A boomerang that does not come back would be called a 'stick'

Kate admired/(s) the work of Walter Becker and Donald F*gan, the core of Steely Dan (named after a device that provides moments of pleasure*)
Their odd arrangements and phrasing as well as their use of, and collaborations with, spot-on session musicians was (is?) intriguing to Ms.Bush. Her approach to music is similar, albeit not in style, to their's.
They received little airplay in GB. As did Ms.Bush in the U.S.
*reference the Burrough's novel "The Naked Lunch"
Her favorite Steely Dan album was "Gaucho"

I will go back and research a little more; I think I remember that she started her education at a convent school. She left school @ 16? with very impressive academic credentials. She attended 'Dance Centre" and studied mime w/ Lindsay Kemp.

LINDSAY KEMP has fingers all over the work of MR. DAVID BOWIE & MS. KATE BUSH, both of whom I admire greatly, the former since infancy.
