I must look up those posts then, as I seem to conform to every Libran character trait I've ever read about. I am ambivalent about astrology, but can't find it in myself to dismiss it entirely. Me = Oct 9, a la Lennon & Entwhistle Ahh, another. This is all starting to make sense now. You're quite close to my birthday Adey. Check out the posts under Other Topics, Zodiac. There's some good KB stuff there. If you want, I can post some info on you as well. By the way, I share my birthday with Roger Moore, and perhaps his charm. ;D ;DJK. I think we must share some similiar personality traits, as he is one of my husband's favorite actors. ;D Back to the attraction thread Sven.

Yesterday was a good day for comedy here. Only Sheila got my Jeopardy reference tho'. And no one caught the Steely Dan connection.

I know it's a bit of an obvious choice, but The Song Of Solomon is the most sensual piece of music I can think of by Kate. Every time I listen to it something echos back from the depths of my soul. It moves me like very few women have.

I've always interpreted the line: "my passion always wins" from Feel It, as referring to what is known as a "win/win" situation --Paul--

I've always interpreted the line: "my passion always wins" from Feel It, as referring to what is known as a "win/win" situation --Paul-- I can see your point. So much of Kate's early work, I think, was about reconciling power and justice in sexual politics. The inspiration for a few poems I wrote on this concept follows this line of thought. Queen's Gambit Languished and lapidary, precise in every way facets flashing juxtaposed, a myriad array lugubrious her melancholy, phlegmatic in the fray she orchestrates the storyline to everyone's dismay ...and conversely the male MO: Rook's Gambit Like Sisyphus he rolls his rocks, the pursuit is straightaway a price too high for joy so brief an undignified display. To me, your comments here highlight the role of gender in the justice and perception of sexual relationship...or more precisely, power and trust among partners. ultimately, from a purely human perspective: The truth has many suitors that woo and ply their ways they preen in lovely colors but paint in shades of gray

The truth has many suitors that woo and ply their ways they preen in lovely colors but paint in shades of gray I can see I'm going to have to seek out more of your poetry, Al. ...they preen in lovely colors but paint in shades of grayThat's great: the display and the expectation produced, far exceed the actual perfomance. Although they wouldn't get far with Kate! Or so I'd like to imagine... --Paul--

I write with the pen names of Iago or Uno and a few others here. (and PerspicaciousX at a forum I lost interest in) I shed my inhibitions more readily when I assume another charcater. Walking around naked is not something we can all do easily.

I love how Kate can be sooooooooooo extremely sexual/sensual without being at all slutty or "easy" seeming. Hell, her voice alone is a turn on. And the lyrics always put some very interesting images in my head...

And the lyrics always put some very interesting images in my head... I fell asleep late at night with a Kate Bush album playing on my headphones. Needless to say, I had some very interesting dreams. --Paul--
