Uh oh is an understatement. I've done a search on the general board, and all our work is GONE!! As soon as your back Lori, see if it can be retrieved.

Geez I leave for a while and everything goes haywire. Hope you can get everything back. I've put my best posts into some of those threads.

I can only hope that the posts are somehow archived. Otherwise, I'm going to be very upset with ProBoards. Even though my number of posts seems correct, I can not retrieve any from this board. But, the fact that the number is still correct gives my some assurance that the history is saved.

Oh my! That's a bit of pain, isn't it?! I'm not exactly sure how Lori would be able to retrieve the lost posts? Unless she has some sort of big database? Well, let's hope so anyway

I've been to Pro-Boards website, and I have some intel. They claim to back-up all the input. However, they deny responsibility (in their disclaimer) for lost information. It seems to say that the board accomodates up to 250 posts per board? If that's the case, we probably need to move certain topics or delete at least the frivolous entries (many of mine ) Lori would need to do this. I looked for 'archives' on the search screen, to no avail. If the info is archived- Lori would be the one to retreive it. (Her password would be the only access to the site) Since she is out of town for the week; I hope there isn't a deadline on recouping deleted posts.

It seems to say that the board accomodates up to 250 posts per board? If that's true, Moments of Pleasure and Trivia would have exploded by now? I do have some news, I don't know whether it's good or bad yet. I get those emails if someone responds to a thread I have posted on, and I have a few saved in my Sensual World folder. When you click on them, it brings you straight to the board. I did this with a few I still have from the General Board and all the info is still there, at least today. The subjects I seem to have in their entirety are: The MP3 Dilema Ask Kate Miscontrued Lyrics Kate's Birthday Most Active Kate Bush Site Favorite Lyrics So, maybe it's still out there somewhere. I don't know how long I'll still be able to access these, so I hope Lori gets back soon and can make some sense of this!

Good idea, Zan! I have only 2 messages on my history and you have those as well. Can you add the sites to your favourites? Just until Lori gets back, incase we canm tranfer them on or something. In fact, if everyone looks in their history and adds the pages to their favourites, we could probably salvage quite a bit. I went to web.archive.org and tried katebush.proboards6.com/index.cgi , but unfortunately it only has this board archived in 2002, when there are very few posts. It's interesting to see the different colour scheme back then, though!

That all sounds hopeful. I tried to start a new thread on the 'General Board' but it does not register as a topic. I can search it in the past ten posts, but after that who knows. Has anyone else tried to start a new thread here yet? Lori, if pro boards gives you a hard time, can you move your server, and keep all your info? If so, I would support your new site. Let's hope ProBoards wants to keep your business though. Also let me know how much we'd have to chip in to keep it message free (ads and pop-ups)

I just checked today, and I can still read all the posts in some of the topics from the general board. If Lori can't get it back, maybe I can PM with the important posts each of you made. That's really ambitious, but maybe we can try to reclaim and piece together some of what we lost by starting the topics again?
