I`m currently listening to some of Kate`s work. I own around 480 CDs eight of which are of course by Kate herself. I don`t have a favorite track, but if I was pressed it would have to be Babooshka, I think it defines her singing and vocal presence.

Wow!!! 480 CD's?!?! What type of music other than Kate do you have in your collection? Is she your favourite artist?
8 Kate albums? Are they her studio albums that you own? I love Babooshka too but wouldn't class it as one of my favourites.

Bfpo, It would be hard for me to find one song that defines Kate's vocal style or presence. She has evolved over the years from precocious brilliance, to complex genius. 'Pull out the Pin' however, displays for me the unabased emotional commitment to her work.

BFPO,
Welcome to the domain!
"BABOOSHKA" is a fine song, to be sure. However, I tend to listen to it a bit less than the rest of the album because I first heard it in conjunction with the video imagery - which I enjoyed very much!
The music of MS. KATE BUSH affects me most deeply when I am free to allow it to create pictures in my mind, as with "SAT ON YOUR LAP", which I heard many times before I ever knew that there was a videoclip.
Any song from THE DREAMING serves me well, but "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE" looms large in my legend!

As you are aware MX; you and I are in agreement on the strength and brilliance of "The Dreaming" Ms Bush was oft critized as being a 'nutter' for this groundbreaking effort. She herself has coined it as her 'mad' period. However; I find it sad that reviewers have the power to stifle creative energy. It is so much easier to write ignorantly 'about' what you don't understand than to write about your own new idea.
