Yes, Lori, that was the title. She was not the master of her domain.

I`ve just thought of a song I would love to hear Kate cover, "The Power of Love" as done by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. "I`m so in Love with you"

I want a response to the Rick Wakeman post. Am I nuts, or is this not a great idea. Even if it's just one concept song covering samples from all six wives' compositions; it's begging to be done! Malcolm, thrO me a bOne man. No...that doesn't sound right Help me out here.

MX, I would agree that either of your suggestions would be very fertile ground for Ms. Bush to plow. How would you feel about Kate putting lyrics to the Rick Wakeman (of 'Yes' fame) instrumental solo endeavor "The Six Wives of Henry the VIII." Given her propensity to be drawn to historical and morose subject matter (e.g. 'Wuthering Heights' 'Pull out the Pin' etc.), by my estimation, would be a very viable production. It would finally give meaning to the original concept of the album. Samples could be extensively used. Duets with the samples would be explosive. You could also involve Bill Bruford, or perhaps David Paton (with ties to both artists) in participating in this effort. Thanks for the inspiration. Furthermore, her acumen with the Fairlight and other synthesizers on such a project would pay homage to another pioneer of electronic keyboards. The marketing would be easy for such a DVD/ Music Video. Period costumes-historical references-moral conflict-voracious appetites-gore.....it would righteously RAWK! I would most assuredly buy it. Even if this is my idea; it's a d**n fine one! ALTRUEST,
Thanks for the endorsement of my fantasy setlist.
Your suggestion about THE 6 WIVES OF HENRY VIII is Pure Genius!
I'd buy half a dozen in each format!

I thought you might be onboard with the concept MX- you were the inspiration for the idea. I hadn't listened to that album in a number of years. As a result of the 'epiphany' though; I've gone out and re-purchased the CD. I also bought 'best of' collections of 'Yes" and (because of your suggestion) 'King Krimson'. It is without question to me that these artists appeal to those of use who enjoy 'theatre' in much of our music. The aforementioned performers supply this in abundance. It is called "Art (Rock)" for good reason.

I liked this thread so I dug it up. Someone else do the same with one of the other oldies but goodies. I also miss MX's posts. Maybe he'll check back in. Do all of you realize how prolific Malcolm has been as an actor, stuntman, muscian and wordsmith? He has over 12 thousand posts on various boards. Let's all e-mail or IM him asap! The board is more edgy when he pops in. 8-)l

I knew of him before because he used to post on The Grid which is a message board for The Who that a couple of fans set up. I must confess I have been a Who fan for years now. Long before I knew about Kate.

I wouldn't have guessed that. You seem so serene. As a drummer myself, I was always fascinated by Keith Moon. He was a unique performer. Maybe Kate borrowed some of his wide-eyed facial expressions.

You'd be surprised. Most quiet unassuming types make great Who fans. Of course there's the loud boisterous type as well. We're all decent intelligent and humorous for the most part. Also very dedicated and loyal to our band. I never knew you were a drummer Al are you with a band?
