Sarah is actually more dancer than Kate, as Sarah went, but unfortunately failed The Royal Ballet! She is still a fantastically good dancer though! She is also an actress, too! A very good one indeed! Loreena McKennitt, never heard any of her stuff!

I stand corrected on the dancing, Violin. Ms Brightman is still one of my favorites. (top 15 or so) You should visit Loreena McKennett's website @ Quinlan Road. The video and audio files are very complete. A great website

Loreena McKennitt another of my favorites. Amazing how we seem to think alike. What I've always liked about Loreena is her tendency to go to historically influenced literature or poetry for her inspiraration. Now unlike Kate who did her own interpretation of the Wuthering Heights story, Loreena will take a piece, like The Highwayman, and adapt it into a song only editing a few of the original verses.

Yeah, August, next to Kate, Ms McKennitt is my favorite. They contrast and complement each other nicely. Loreena's music as you pointed out may be derived from Shakespeare or Yeats, or maybe from folklore she has picked up during her journeys. They both surround themselves with talented musicians. Both are strong minded independent women (Kate with her our studio and productions/ Loreena with her own label etc.) Ms. McKennett,s music is not as edgy as that of Kate Bush's; but it can be ethereal, enigmatic and dark just the same. Would some of you check out the extensive samples on her 'Quinlan Road' website and comment on what you hear.
