OK, so this is the first round of the final stage of "Eat The Music", at the end of which we'll find out what is this forum's absolute number 1 Kate Bush song! In this round, all you have to do is choose your 2 least favourite songs from the list of preliminary winners below. State why you chose them to vote off first, or if you find that too hard, say why you like the song and why you think it made the final rounds. Your choices are: Moving Symphony In Blue Breathing Night Of The Swallow Running Up That Hill Hello Earth The Sensual World Moments Of Pleasure Under The Ivy Where Are The Lionhearts? You have until Monday 14th February to post your choices in this thread. Enjoy and don't be scared to take part!

Jeez, this is going to be difficult. However my first selection's are purely 'cos I don't think they stand a chance of winning it all, so out goes: Where are the Lionhearts Under the Ivy I love both of these songs. A case could be made for any on this list being the best,

Where are the Lionhearts and Symphony in Blue Sorry I hate doing this, but they are not actually my least favourites in the whole scheme of things Can't I just vote for that awful "Titanic" song by Celine Dion and be done with it?

Damn, I pushed for this and now I've got to do the unthinkable.. Goodbye to Where are the Lionhearts and Under the Ivy[/color] ..even said quickly it still hurts, especially Under the Ivy.. Lionhearts is an interesting diversion, a small child taking it's first steps - sweet, but an easy first choice. Ivy is different altogether; haunting and almost unbearably poignant but it's not quite representative of the true Kate Bush vision. The remaining tracks are the absolute stuff of her legend - the real deal in every sense of the words.. MATANCHIK!! Moments of Pleasure? Man, what are they putting in your food??!! (But of course I accept your right to be wrong wrong wrong) j/k RA - Symphony in Blue? Ah well gotta call it like you see it I guess.. (Nevermind Titanic, I'd vote Celine Dion right out of existence if it would save any song on this list..)

See.....now I feel guilty To be honest it was more a case of stick a pin in as none of them were worthy of the chop. I wonder if there is a way of drawing together statistica on these type of forums that fluctuate with membership? Also, a favourite one week will change the next with me and sometimes one that I don't like so much suddenly starts meaning more as and when my life changes or moods change or life experience alters........oh, shall I go on? Shut up RA

This is always hard, but it does make you think about what it is about Kate that really gets you going ("like a Romeo")! Anyway, my choices are: Symphony In BlueA great song, but the weakest one on there in my opinion. I think "Lionheart", although a gem, is her weakest album generally and I think Kate might just agree with that (but then she criticises much of her back catalogue...). And although I think it's Al who finds it tedious, I quite like the pun at the end of the sung! ("blew it"...) Where Are The Lionhearts?I'm only voting this off 'cos it never made it to the recording studio proper. Such a shame and a waste of a fantastic song. There's something hypnoytic about "On the rocks..." - maybe it'll be on "Lioneart The Remaster" in 2014? Thanks for the votes so far everyone, it's great to see a renewed interest in this!

I think "Lionheart", although a gem, is her weakest album generally I agree.. I quite enjoyed coming back to the unique vibe I get out of this little competition. The revelations, the cut & thrust of the defences adopted for one's own faves, the frantic counting of votes when your much loved song is in danger and the chance to abuse fellow members for their shortsightedness. Great fun..

Great to see you back too Sto, as well as the voting! My votes are for: Under The Ivy Where Are The Lionhearts? Under the Ivy is one my top 10, but I think it's to quiet a song and a B-side to challenge the others. Where Are The Lionhearts is because it was a demo and I am not quite as familiar with it. If it had been stronger, it would have made the cut, right? Mainly, these are not quite as consumate Kate as the others. By the way, I thought this was going to be a vote for the winners and runners up from each album? Am I lost on that? Wasn't it to give a challenger a chance to come from behind? Well, maybe when this is over we can start a new list. Maybe images or videos?

On any given day ''Under the Ivy'' could be a top 3 for me. It is so personal and intimate. I hate to see it go, but I did not see it winning, so I cut bait and ran (whatever that means.

Seems that most people are clearing the decks. After this little taster, I suspect that the real anguish begins next round. I may actually have quit by the time we get to the end..(!)
