Well, it looks like BREATHING has won by default - "The Wedding List" and "Delius" both got the same amount of votes against them; "Breathing" got just one!

So it ends not with a bang, but a whimper. I like the honourable draw between Wedding List and Delius. Breathing is a worthy winner - not a perfect piece of work, but an awesome listening experience. Charming to have watched her step from greatness to brilliance..
Still preferred Blow Away, but there you go.

I thought that too, about this round ending a little abruptly! But ke the idea of a tie for 2nd place. And I think I knew from the beginning that "Breathing" would win, although I expected "Babooshka" to be in second place. I'm quite surprised at the criticism "Breathing" has taken along the way though actually - I think it's a pretty perfect song. I agree with what Al' said last week: the last part is without doubt the best part. Still, I love the almost operatic quality of the "oooh" in the verses, the climactical "Out, in, out in..." (no pun intended ) and the line "Chips of plutonium are twinkling in every lung" is pure genius, if you ask me!

I'm glad that's over and I didn't have to decide between TWL and Breathing. I don't think I could have done it. I think it's a perfect, albeit quick, ending. I felt Breathing would take home the final honors from the beginning and I was surprised it even registered a negative vote. Who was that anyway... And, I also hereby forgive all voters against The Wedding List. ;D ;D under one stipulation: All you folks in the UK, I give up... what's a cherootie? ;D ;D

It's a cigar, isn't it? Oh, wait, you were only asking the UK members... Thanks Sheila. I thought it was probably something like that, but I figured it was an old British term, since I don't think I have ever heard it used here. So.... I wasn't just asking them, you know what I mean. ;D

Gold Stars all round.
A cheroot is a term for a particular type of short fat cigar. Doesn't rhyme with bootie though - and boot needed one more syllable! Pointless info provided by Adey, I thank you..
