By popular demand, there will be seperate rounds for "Hounds Of Love" and "The Ninth Wave". That means there are only 5 songs to choose from in this round. So please vote off just one song, which is your least favourite of the selection below. Comment on why it's your least favourite, or alternatively the positive aspects of the song for you (or both!). The choices are: Running Up That Hill Hounds Of Love The Big Sky Mother Stands For Comfort CloudbustingEnjoy! Should be interesting to see the results!

The Big Sky
Don't really understand it although I've never really tried too. Don't like the video to it.

ARGH!! This is extremely difficult. By a process of elimination, I've chosen to vote off " Mother Stands For Comfort" for a few reasons. Firstly because I don't think it matches up to the other four on this side in standard of production. And secondly, I just don't find it hooks me as much as the others. It is a great song - Kate's work is brilliant by anyone's standards, but that's my choice for this week (thank God I wasn't here when we were doing this for 'The Dreaming' album )

The Big SkyDon't really understand it although I've never really tried too. Don't like the video to it. You never really understood me, you never really tried. Great answer. I assume you meant it as a pun. The Big Sky gets my vote as well. It's arrangement is a bit unothodox, which is not unusual for Kate. It just never clicked with me. Do I have to say something nice?...I don't hate it.

ARGH!! " Mother Stands For Comfort" I just don't find it hooks me as much as the others. It took a long time for this one to grow on me. But when I got it, I played like four times in a row. I now believe it is one of my top ten.] Yeah, that was difficult. It's my favorite followed by HOL.

LOL Lori! My vote goes to Hounds of LoveIt's one of my least favourite Kate songs. Some days I like it; but usually I find it lacks a good enough tune for the lyrics, which I do like. It makes a great album title, though ;D

Do I have to say something nice? No, it was an either/or option

Mother Stands for Comfort
Kate at her best, expressing the overiding instinct to protect her offspring however horrible the circumstances. Unconditional Love is a vital attribute when facing the darker elements of our nature.
Its great to see Kate again free of the need to create something similar to other high selling artists. I think this is one of the reasons I Love her so much!

Difficult choice but I think I'll go with RUTH. Great song but I'm voting it off because it's the one that got all the airplay in the US.

Mother Stands for Comfort Maybe someday I'll be able to appreciate this song. The whole reason I'm such a Kate nut is that in many ways she is a mother figure to me. Now I get along with my mother after many struggles and battles, but this has only been very recently. When I was an adolescent this song upset, disturbed, and depressed me. Let's just say I can't relate to it. I tend to skip this song rather than let all that past negativity upset me again.

My vote is also for Mother Stands For ComfortSheila, you have expressed exactly how I feel about this song as well, almost word for word. I nearly always skip it. It's really a beautiful song, but to uncomfortable for me. I agree with all you have to say about it (except for the recently, I suppose, if you follow ) and it makes me long to understand that feeling, and depressed that I shall probably never know it. It's quite unusual how much we find that we have in common, Sheila.

It's quite unusual how much we find that we have in common, Sheila. It is kind of strange, and it seems to be strange things we have in common I assume if you look like Helen Hunt that your hair is blond, yet another common factor!HEY!! No blonde jokes from the peanut gallery!! ;D Hmm, Xan, I pictured you with dark hair...
