You know the drill by now, vote off your two least favourite songs from "The Kick Inside" to Rate Kate! Give reasons for your oustings (including why you DO like the songs) to add a little bit of spice. Your choices: Moving The Saxaphone Song Strange Phenomena Kite The Man With The Child In His Eyes Wuthering Heights James And The Cold Gun Feel It Oh To Be In Love L'amour Looks Something Like You Them Heavy People Room For The Life The Kick InsideDepending on how soon people vote, the next round will either be next Sunday or the Sunday after that!

Argh this is gonna be tough as hell. I love this album. Ok here goes... [glow=red,2,300]Them Heavy People[/glow] Love the verses... not to fond on the chorus. Wicked video Luv it!!! [glow=red,2,300]The Kick Inside[/glow] Argh what can I say?? Er ok, the song seems to on one level with no climax. The lyrics and plot of them are amazing though...as always. Can we not just start saying the good points of the songs. I mean, a lot of the time I'm just scruting around for ANY reason at all I can think of, when the only reason I have is cause I like the other songs better, hehe ;D

My second choice is much harder. I guess "Wuthering Heights"....J/K ;D "Kite" is my second least favorite. It is however totally unique and exuberant. The 'Beelzebub' and 'Wellios' notwithstanding.

Hey I'm sure that's cheating AT. I thought oyu had to say why you were voting it off. I scrimped for reasons, I think you should too ;D I believe my tactics are perfectly acceptable. I always vote because I like the other songs better. However, if you insist. The 'Ooo-ha-ooo-ha' in "James" is just a bit over the top. And "Kite" is a bit 'circusy' caliope-sounding. But I love them both. In fact I can listen to this whole album without skipping a song.

THE SAXOPHONE SONG I LOVE the ending of this song. I just don't think the song is as strong as the others. And the "dabba dabba do" reminds me of Fred Flintstone...
L'AMOUR LOOKS SOMETHING LIKE YOU I'm voting this one off for more personal reasons. This song reminds me of what an overzealous idiot I used to be, and how every disappointment makes me die a little bit more each day. The longer I live without love, the harder this song is to listen to. I tend to skip it rather than derail on that train of thought.

Oooh this is hard! Probably Kite and the Saxaphone song through the process of elimination!

Are we gonna lose Kite this quick? That's the song that made me originally buy the album!

This is hard, as everyone says!
Umm..ok, I think I'm going for:
Feel It It's a great song, continuing the line of not-so-innocent love songs in that region of the album. I do love it, just love the others more!
The Saxaphone Song I think this and "TMWTCIHE" were recorded before the other songs, weren't they? I think it shows as her voice doesn't sound as mature as the other tracks. I love the sax solo at the end but I think the song as a whole lacks some excitement.

in regards to Feel It---rofl! "not so innocent love songs" I did laugh out loud! I was raised a strict Catholic (my grandma died this year and wanted her funeral mass in Latin--that's how stuck I am in the Catholic thing....) (yeah had the cute high school uniform and all) That may be why I'm gonna try to save the song yet I know what you mean Sto--it's the "Catholic" rebel in me fighting! LOL Sheila! OK, well maybe it goes a little further than not so innocent - maybe the Britney and Christina videos on MTV have twisted my concept of what innocence is?
