This week, three tracks were voted out. "In Search Of Peter Pan" (I thought this one would hang in longer!), "Coffee Homeground" and "Don't Push Your Foot On The Heartbrake" are all out. The remaining choices are as follows: Symphony In Blue Wow Oh England My Lionheart Fullhouse Hammer Horror
State youryour two least favouite tracks, although it'll start getting difficult for most from here on - still, analyse/state why you like the song. Voting closes on Friday 22nd August 2003!

I haven't contributed to the Lionheart vote-off yet. This is mainly because it is so hard and seems so cruel to vote off songs that have become part of me. It is actually one of my favourite Kate Bush albums... the one I play when I'm feeling down. But here goes... Symphony in Blue. I do love it but I would have liked a stronger song to open the album (maybe Wow?) Lyrically it is great, especially for one so young (most introspective for a teenager) but I find it meanders a bit. Hate to say it but sometimes I find it vaguely annoying (in the nicest possible way)! Can't believe I said that! Fullhouse for my 2nd choice to vote off. This is probably my least favourite Lionheart track. It's not that I dislike it but the other tracks are just so incredibly good, so rich with ideas and imagery. Fullhouse is just a bit maudlin and moaning somehow. (Oh God I hope Kate never reads this!) I feel like a traitor but something's gotta give...

*Wow* I love the mysterious calling to Emily before the lyrics commence.
*Fullhouse* If you have ever experienced "Voices" in your head or been with someone who has, you will appreciate this song more.
"Spend a lot of my time"

Man this is getting difficult choices, choices... here goes Wowbut I love the "He's too busy hitting the vaseline." line and the little pat on the rump in (again) the Hammersmith video. Full House"You've got a Full House in your head tonight" boy don't we all know that feeling "If they nig and they nag, I'll just put in the boot" heh heh heh, this is what I do too, and then I listen to some KT Bush ;D

I'm goin' with the flow on this one:
* Wow. only because that was an overused expression of the 70's. Kate also reminds me of Larraine Newman (SNL) when she is flailing her arms in the video. It is however the only exposure my sons have to Kate, in that it's a selection on the "GTA" radio.
* Fullhouse. I can not think of anything I do not like about this song. The others are just better.

Aww I hate it when it gets to the good last few...
* Oh England My Lionheart - it's my mum's absolute favourite song and she always asks me to play it on my 'Kate Tape' when we're in the car so I guess it's a bit more worn than the rest. Love it though and Kate's voice is amazing in it.
* Fullhouse - there's the odd song that I don't take too much notice of and this is one of them. Even though I do actually love it. And I don't know every lyric to this one either ;D

Symphony In Blue--been voting it off all along. Wish she would rerecord it. I agree with Colleen on everything she said. By the way--WELCOME Colleen!!
Oh England My Lionheart--this is a selfish vote-off. It's a great song--but we are at the crunch and as an American this song always alienated me. I have no other reason but that. It just seemed further proof that she is too rooted where she is and will NEVER tour in the States!

Thanks everyone for voting! The more votes received, the better it works. My votes: * Fullhouse - which I've voted for all along. A fine song, but not up to the standard set by others on this album, in my opinion (see earlier posts for more detail ). *Oh England My Lionheart - hard to vote this one off. A beautiful song which seems to grow on me every time I hear it. It draws quite a bleak picture of England, but in a warm kind of way. I have to say I do love "Where Are All The Lionhearts?" equally, both great songs!

It's funny - we're getting more people voting here, but less posts in the topics!
