It is now more than one year ago, when I saw "Björk" on television. I liked her music and one day in the Björk-Chat some people spoke about Kate Bush. I forgot that name after one day and then I read an interview of a Band call'd Theatre of Tragedy. Their female singer likes Kate Bush very well, so I thought...Hm...Bush ! Why not ?! I bought The Whole Story and I can tell you that I was in the beginning more disappointed than happy. But I didn't stop listening and from time to time it was better. Three weeks later I got the 8-CD Box and began to wrote a Kate Bush Diary (of each album and song). In Germany we got Aerial on the 4th of November, but to me it was sent two days before on the 2nd of November...Don't know why...The people in the German Forum thought I would work for EMI...but I'm just 15 years old ;D
Well, that's my story...what do you think ?

I bought The Whole Story and I can tell you that I was in the beginning more disappointed than happy. It works this way for me sometimes as well - I wasn't all that thrilled with Hounds of Love until quite some time after I had first listened to it. What initially didn't you like about the songs?

In the beginning some of the songs sounded boring... Wuthering Heights was just gigantic. Running up that hill and Experiment IV were (and are of course) great. The rest was just boring. I said to myself "rather you should listen to Björk" but on the same day as I got the CD I listen'd it thrice. And on the next day, too And then I fell in love...

but on the same day as I got the CD I listen'd it thrice. And on the next day, too And then I fell in love... And thus was tragedy averted; all's well that ends well. Hounds of Love, The Sensual World, The Red Shoes, and currently, Aerial, are all albums that haven't initially greatly appealed to me. ehh... I really like the early fairy princess albums. Still, a little perseverance and I see that they are all pretty good. It's nice for an artist to evolve - if they were all similar to the earliest albums I imagine I'd be bored with that sound at this point.
