And welcome to Cathy! Hope you like the Forum here and spend some time with us. Kate Bush is amazing? But of course.. As you've studied Wuthering Heights, perhaps you can you tell us how Cathy died. There seems to be something of a debate here between a few members..

i am lucky!. I first came across kate when she did her one and only tour, so i have been a devout believer for 26 years( i was only ' 2' when i went to the concert) honest- would someone who had a spacehopper lie? i think not.

Cathy (Earnshaw) died, I think (I hope this is right 'cos I really should know having written a dissertation on it) after giving birth to her daughter, Cathy (Linton) I had stated this before on another thread, but got no confirmation.

Well Space-Hopper, I can certainly identify, so I will start with the truth and then you'll work out the maths! I was 21 when I first heard Wuthering Heights on the radio. As I've expressed to Cathy on the little personal posters, I thought I was hearing an oriental song (that kind of high pitched method of singing). I was hooked and went out shortly afterward and purchased Kick Inside - I just remember playing it over and over. I thought she was just about the best thing I'd ever heard. At that point in time I don't think Kate had much of a link with Peter Gabriel. I had been a fan of his since age of 16 (so 6 years previous to Kick) and had met the guy once when he was almost unknown - you know when he had the shaved forhead?
Well, lots of tales to tell........but, that is how I got into Kate's music. I never saw her live (sadly) maybe it'll happen?

My Experience of Kate has duality. The first time I was a child. I saw her perform, through the ether of television and was enchanted as children are... the poetry of her movement and her passion touched my imagination, I was a bookish child with a morbid heart and a deep love for the Brontes, Bryon and the Immortal Beloveds of this world, she touched me at that level and I remainded constantly fond for many years..... However, as a woman, with a woman's heart, a heart more worldly, I *heard* her; heard her lyrics and felt the emotions only those who have really Loved feel, with all it's pleasure and it's pain. Do I ramble? I hope not! But do feel free to stand me in a corner until I promise not to do it again!

We encourage thoughtful and revealing posts here.

It is just, as I am sure you all know, that breaking through the 'veil' with new people, as undoubtedly fascinating as that is, is rather akin to planting seed and waiting for it to grow! How fertile is the ground? Did I use enough water? Will a mouse steal the seed!

How fertile is the ground? Not to worry about fertile ground here. There's plenty of manure around to keep it that way..

Hi my dear DeLacy - I found the soil here to be pleasantly fertile. We all spread a little muck on our quest for the truth and thats the 'salt of the earth' but, in amongst it are little pearls (of wisdom) and I've found enough here to almost make a necklace. Welcome, keep your wellington boots handy but enjoy the walk in the park amongst friends. Like Al said earlier today on another thread - we can 'pcik you up'. RA
