I remember when KB was first satrting and reading about her in the local paper in Kent . Then I saw her perform Wuthering Heights on Magpie which was an ITV kids programme, similar to BBC's Blue Peter. I never brought any of her albums until HOL and then my wife had the Whole Story when we combined our CD's. My brother has always ben a huge fan though but I have always been into the smiths, radiohead, oasis, some classical even- well any music thats good really.
After hearing my wifes recent katie melua and Dido cd's although they are very good, pretty pop, and I'm not really knocking them, its obvious KB is just is in another dimension. Thats rekindled my interest in KB and I will be buying some of her old CD's shortly.
Glad to hear she may be coming out with some new material soon to counteract all the bland pop thats around now.

I agree. It's time for something new. I, too, was aware of Kate for a long time before I developed a huge interest in her. I wasn't disappointed as a listened to each album. I think I posted that Dido recently thanked Kate for inspiration with her 2004 Brit Award. Tell your wife, if she doesn't support your Kate phase! ;D
