In this poll you need to vote what kinds of songs you will like to hear on the new album.
I would like to hear a jazz-oriented album because i realy likes jazz and i think kate's version of "the man i love" was great and i also thinks that "lionheart" and "babooshka" are quite jazzy and i thinks that kate has a lot to offer in that musical field although i won't resist if she bland all kind of songs in her album.
so, what your choice?

All kinds of songs for me please.. I can't think of any previous KB album having a tightly defined song style. I don't expect the new one to be any different.

I opted for "other/something Kate's not done", because I think it will be completely different to what we're expecting. I think of the new album as being a continuation from "The Red Shoes" as that was the last record - but that was 11 / 12 years ago. We've all changed as people drastically since then, I'm sure (I was only 5 ) and I'm sure Kate has too, emotionally, musically and lyrically, especially with Bertie in her life now. I predict that on first listen of the new album, we're going to think "We waited 12 years for THIS?!" because it's going to be so different to what we're expecting. Second listen we'll get into. Third, and we'll be hooked.

I voted for all types of songs. I was going to be more harsh here, but Sto said I was being too negative, so I'll just say that I hope the album isn't to emotional about children I think my teeth will hurt, and that's the last thing I want to hear. Otherwise, I'm open.

We've done this before, but I'm glad to do it again. It is my opinion that it will be difficult to categorize. I voted for world-inspired material, simply because you may find any other of the described choices from the list most any where in the world.. With her more complex perspective and time to select the best players to support her vision, it would be safe to say that ''none and some of the above'' would be a better answer. Paddy and Gabriel have a penchant for influencing her in the 'world' category. Peter Erskine has strong 'jazz roots' Who knows what Kate has been reading, listening to or watching that may be included. All of these influences I'd say will be filtered and re-invented into a unique recording that will defy being pigeon-holed.

I voted all kinds of songs before I realized - I am not eligible to vote.
