Hi! My name is James, I'm 17 and I live in Australia. I've been listening to Kate for nearly a year, thanks to a Tori friend who recommended her.
I love my female singers, such as Tori Amos, Björk, Sarah Blasko, Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple, Corinne Bailey Rae, Regina Spektor, Nelly Furtado, Madonna and PJ Harvey. I'm also a huge Buffy fan!
This place is great- I've already had a lot of fun in the Polls section. ;D

Hey since you love female singers here are some more that you may not have heard: Nina Nastasia, Nina Simone, Nina Hagen, Nina Gordon, Nina Kinert, Nina Sky, haha OK I'm going a bit Nina-crazy at this point (but the first three are serious recommendations!) Thea Gilmore, Joanna Newsom, Persephone's Bees, Sons and Daughters, Le Tigre, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. -the last four obviously being groups, but ones anyway with (at least predominantly) female singers. EDIT: oh shoot, I forgot... definitely check out Gabriela Kulka - she has a very nice website.
