Hi there!
I've been lurking the site for some time now since first discovering it the past Fall. It's wonderful, such a wealth of information! Here in Canada, it's next to impossible to find anything regarding Kate...thanks for bringing this board to life
I obtained Kate's new album early December...it's growing on me more and more each day. As with all of her music, for me it takes time....but I absolutely adore her! So far my favorite track from Aerial is Somewhere In Between, I get lost somewhere good when I listen to it
I was first introduced to Kate Bush when I was around 14 I guess. My brother had a few of her vinyls, the Hounds of Love & The Dreaming I remember most...he had one of her posters on his bedroom wall. I would "steal" them and listen in my own room. At first, I thought she was the most off-the-wall singer I'd heard plus I thought the music was very bizarre and theatrical. I guess I was too used to the bubble gum Top 40 hits of the 80's that I normally listened to, in other words...crap! Kate Bush gave me an appreciation of what music can and should be, I became a huge fan. I bought on my own the albums following Hounds and have loved them all, Aerial will be another treasure. It's sad that she doesn't get a whole lot of recognition in North America, most of my friends and people in my life have never heard of her....too bad, they have no idea what they're missing!
Cheers
