Very intriguing description: “50 Words For Snow” will feature seven brand new tracks set against a background of falling snow. The total running time is 65 minutes and the track listing is: SNOWFLAKE LAKE TAHOE MISTY WILDMAN SNOWED IN AT WHEELER STREET 50 WORDS FOR SNOW AMONG ANGELS Simply cannot wait! :-) DECEMBER WILL BE MAGIC AGAIN! ;D Sorry - couldn't resist!

Don't worry Neo, I think Kate's working on even more material! A veritable deluge (by Kate standards) could be upon us in the near future.
I really get the feeling that something has changed and she wants to throw herself back into writing and recording in a major way.

Its great Inuit! The "Eskimo words for snow" claim is a widespread misconception alleging that Eskimos have an unusually large number of words for snow. In fact, the Eskimo–Aleut languages have about the same number of distinct word roots referring to snow as English does.[1][2] In contrast, the European Sami People, an indigenous circumpolar group, do have hundreds of words for snow Ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eskimo_words_for_snowAnd this is fantastic!: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnPh3GGykaI&feature=related

The first single off the album will be released on October 10th. That's next week!
It's "Wild Man".
The album features guest appearances from such diverse elements as Elton John, Stephen Fry and Andy Fairweather Low.
Andy Fairweather Low appears on "Wild Man", Elton John appears on "Snowed In At Wheeler Street", Stephen Fry appears on the title track.

Good old Ken Bruce. He never lets us down..
Between him, Marconie and a few others, Kate has Radio 2 almost completely sewn up!
Good track on first hearing - look forward to the unedited version..

Mojo magazine have the first interview with Kate regarding "50 Words For Snow" and a review of the album as well: www.kate-bush-archives.org/articles/2011-2/4397-2Apparently, Kate is aware that the Eskimos don't really have 50 words for snow ... and Stephen Fry's contribution gently makes fun of the idea. --Paul--
