The latest edition of Classic Rock Magazine reports someone at EMI claiming that the new KB album is out in November. Even if it weren't for the fact that KB stuck a rocket under EMI some time ago, it still seems very unlikely She's still with EMI. Fish People is just a vanity label, essentially a subdivision of EMI. Yes, she does own the music, but EMI still get to distribute it (thereby getting a cut). However, the idea of a new Kate album shortly before Christmas sounds more like EMI's idea of a Christmas present than anything else. "Director's Cut" went to #2 in the UK chart - it's a fair bet that an album of brand-new Kate songs could make #1. EMI like the idea of ₤₤₤ and $$$ (and ЄЄЄ) However, does Kate want to make December magic again for EMI? Or will she just take her sweet time, as usual? I have heard whispers that she's really pleased by the reaction to Director's Cut and that she's in a very creative and productive mood at the moment, so I suppose anything's possible. --Paul--

After they (EMI) cleared out all of 'her' people, I heard she made a phone call to say they'd had their last album from her.. Thanks Paul.
