Big Boi dreams of Kate Bush By WENN.COM Last Updated: July 1, 2010 4:51am OutKast star Big Boi has embarked on a crusade to get reclusive British singer Kate Bush back in the recording studio. The Hey Ya! hitmaker admits he has always been a fan of the high-pitched Babooshka singer - and she's among the only living people he wants to collaborate with. He tells Britain's Live From Studio Five TV show, "I want to work with Kate Bush... That's, like, my dream collaboration, most definitely. "Just the realness of her music, the stories behind the songs as well as the production, how things kind of evolve as the song progresses... she's a very creative artist, producer and writer. "She's like my top favourite next to Bob Marley... Kate Bush is number one on the list." Link: www.torontosun.com/entertainment/music/2010/07/01/14575016-wenn-story.html

You have to admire his persistence, if nothing else.
I wish him all the luck in the world but won't be holding my breath,
Actually, I can't see where the common ground would lay between these 2 artists. Perhaps in the apparent contradiction, something interesting could arise.

I wish him all the luck in the world but won't be holding my breath, Actually, I can't see where the common ground would lay between these 2 artists. Perhaps in the apparent contradiction, something interesting could arise. I think he has always had a crush on her from what I gleaned from his earlier comments in an interview I recall. Her Hammersmith video would have been a great visual experience...It was for me too. Perhaps her progressive attitude and the way she challenged role and expectation in her lyrics were appealing to an African American in the intolerant South of his youth. I always heard a connection in his "I Like the Way you Move' to her 'Moving'...perhaps a nod to the sentiment. If nothing else I could imagine in my mind a remix of those two songs together.... ...at least inserting just this chorus: I like the way u move(Whoaa) 2x I love the way u move I love the way2x I love the way you move(Whoaa) 3x I love the way2x vodpod.com/watch/3107623-kate-bush-tour-of-life-1979-movingwww.youtube.com/watch?v=F4uRZ1UYKio

This is still a fun story. I pity the fool should Kate take him up on it. I'm thinking Ted Williams as a hitting instructor - Look, kid, you hit the ball when the seems are facing it.
