I've just recorded a cover version of Hammer Horror for your amusement: www.mediafire.com/download.php?qm1zmfs2emrI was originally planning on doing a version with just voice and piano, and then I thought: "Nah". Consequently the arrangement's a bit more in line with the songs I've been doing lately. --Paul--

Surprising treatment of the song, and I liked it a lot. It's always good to do something original when you're going to do a cover.

Here's a Youtube homage to Joni Mitchell which I like too and thought to post...james&joni www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBjeabwye_U&feature=user ...homage to joni mitchell. Coyote sung with my own arrangment and words, measuring my life in Joni moments! Sacrilige... maybe!

It works quite well on its own terms. Of course Joni has a voice to die for (thanks for posting that link with Joni and Jaco, Tannis).

Yes, Paul, it is bold of him, but quite cool. I like the chugging tune and there are plenty of Joni song references...Coyote, California, Cactus Tree, Blue Motel Room, In France They Kiss On Main Street, Blonde In The Bleachers, Blue (1971), Court And Spark (1974), The Hissing Of Summer Lawns (1975), The Jungle Line, For The Roses (1972), Amelia, Don Juan's Reckless Daughter (1977), Both Sides Now, Cold Blue Steel And Sweet Fire, A Case Of You, Judgement Of The Moon And Stars, Man From Mars, Woman Of Heart And Mind...

I've found a female vocalist with a voice to die for, and I've remade my version of Hammer Horror with her singing: katebush.planetriker.org/sounds/HammerHorrorRoughMix1.mp3That's just the rough version - imagine what it will be like when we're finished with it! Watch this space - great things are afoot. --Paul--
