Now that we can actually play Kate Bush (or whatever else we want for the most part) in bars, anyone got jukebox stories? Ah technology--I can now play "Hello Earth" in the local biker bar. I haven't gotten my butt kicked yet. (pending)

I haven't gotten my butt kicked yet. (pending) Yes I have a jukebox story or two. My dad bought us a jukebox when I was growing up. It was a 100 record 'See burg' That would bypass the coin requirements with a button on the back. I painted it with psychedelic images all over. (what a little freak I was) Songs that I played on it most were: Hey Mr Tambourine Man - Byrds Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying - Jerry and the Pacemakers Concrete and Clay - Unit 4 plus 2 Ferry Cross the Mersey - Jerry and the Pacemakers I'm A Man - Spencer Davis Group I'm A man - Yardbirds Heart Full of Soul - Yardbirds You Really Got Me - Kinks Gloria - Van Morrison Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison Train Kept A Rollin - Yardbirds Tell Her No - Zombies She's not There - Zombies House of the Rising Sun - Eric Burden (Animals) Tell it Like it Is - Aaron Neville Lots of MoTown... These are all on You Tube - just keyword search if you have any interest. These songs shaped my musical tastes. The British influences made Kate a more accessible artist for me later I think. Although she is so uniquely captivating in her own way... These are just songs that were actually on our jukebox.

^ A wonderful story! Reminds me of that Great American Novel, The Great Gatsby...

^ A wonderful story! Reminds me of that Great American Novel, The Great Gatsby... I bet Sheila never imagined we'd actually have juke-box stories. Good one too BTW Hope... At a party at my sisters friends house the lights were out and this teenage guy thought he could steal a kiss from the girl holding the party - Cathy - but instead smooched her brother Hugh full on the lips. ;D "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" was on the juke-box...

^ Hope, thank you for your story. It's always so interesting to see what people share of themselves. And you told it very well. And Al, LOL! That sounds like a funny moment. ;D

Love those downloadable jukeboxes!

Love those downloadable jukeboxes! I'm not so sure about "Heads We're Dancing" being an easy one...here maybe; but otherwise I'd think it would be obscure to most people. Good choices though Charlie...
