Based on the results from our Kate Rates, I've compiled a list of (at a guess) possible favourite Kate songs. I've also put in options of another song by Kate Bush (specify in post) and a song not by Kate Bush (again, specify). Apologies the poll is so long; I took all the album winners and the top few from The Kate Top 40.
For me, I have a tie between Get Out Of My House and Suzanne Vega's Pilgrimage.
Get Out Of My House is a really fabulous song that has it all: awesome vocals, incredible sound effects, and a breathtaking completeness. Really, I've had my elaborations on this one, I just love it.
Pilgrimage... well, I've loved the song since the first time I heard it. It takes the scope of one human's lack of importance in this world and puts it into one of the most brilliant musical jewellery boxes I've ever heard. Enough said...
To put it into a nutshell, Get Out Of My House is the song I want to live to and Pilgrimage is the song I want to die to.

This poll is so difficult! So to make it easier, I have selected a favorite KB song from the ones you have listed; a favorite KB song not listed here; and a favorite song by another artist.* A Kate Bush song listed here:"Get Out Of My House" ~ monumental! A Kate Bush song not listed here (please specify): "A Sky Of Honey" ... A song by another artist (please specify):Joni Mitchell-Hejirawww.youtube.com/watch?v=wQPB_HAQyB4* Please note that all answers are correct at time of going to press, but may be subject to change...

What a hard question! Very fun to try and answer it, though. All of Kate's songs mean so much to me, and in so many different ways, so it's terribly difficult to choose. I think I would have to say 'A Sky of Honey', if that's not cheating. If it really had to be only one song, then Mrs. Bartolozzi also just contains so much. Or maybe Houdini. As for a song from another artist, I'd have to say Joanna Newsom's 'Only Skin', which is just amazing. The scope and complexity of that song, and its lyrical depth, is quite unfathomable.
