So here's how we chose the albums for the All-TIME 100. We researched and listened and agonized until we had a list of the greatest and most influential records ever - and then everyone complained because there was no Pink Floyd on it. And that's exactly how it should be.
Well, from this promising start Time's 100 Greatest Albums list quickly goes downhill; among the mere 9 albums selected from 2000 and later are to be found compilations of Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke, Muddy Waters, and Hank Williams.
Pathetic.
Anyway, here it is:

No mention of Kate.
And here are my greatest (meaning of course, my favorite) albums year by tuneful year:
1970 Van Morrison - Moondance
1971 Leonard Cohen - Songs of Love and Hate
1972 Lou Reed - Transformer
1973 Stevie Wonder - Innervisions
1974 David Bowie - Diamond Dogs
1975 Patti Smith - Horses
1976 Bob Dylan - Desire
1977 Elvis Costello & the Attractions - My Aim Is True
