Any Ultravox fans? Is it just me or did Midge Ure have something big about past lives or what? .... Its obvious that the man is or was a hopeless romantic ( which is fine ) Did you ever get that impression from Vienna, Rage in eden or those years? After listening to a few Cd's lately I have found that Ultravox is very cool even now....kinda timeless in fact. but then again.....many very good music came from the early eighties.....like that something Bush chick...yeah....I think that is her name ;D

Greetings ArmyDreamer & welcome to the site.
I have the later Ultravox albums and enjoyed them immensely at the time as I recall. Not their biggest fan by a long way, but I think it's fair to say that Midge Ure put the soul into what could have been a souless electronic experience. Billy Currie too, managed to wrestle some emotional moments out of his ARP Odyssey, an excellent synth but one that had a deserved reputation for cold clinicism..
The John Foxx years I regard as merely an interesting experiment. Doubtless, some will not agree..

Yes....Ure was better than Fox.
Rage in Eden is my Fav. But Vienna will always be the classic. Love the art work on those LP's.
I don't plug it in all the time but when I do its cool to hear.
