You have all the needed information to find that out in your mini-profile to the left. Not true, Stevo. You see, Paul knows that although walking distance from Chicago, I am actually in Schiller Park. Awfullly goshdarn close to the DuPage county border. He really did have to do homework to know I was still in Cook...

She's Gone - Black Sabbath Interesting choice for a halloween song I always thought it was more of a breakup/losing your love kind of song

Under A Violet Moon - Blackmore's Night Good Man.. I adore BN - the concept, the music, everything. My wife & I went to their B'ham concert on the "Ghost of a Rose" tour. Looked pretty stupid in my 16th Century peasant garb, but it was a great night. Had a chat with Ritchie afterward, 1st time I've ever met him despite being a fan since "Made in Japan" was released..

She's Gone - Black Sabbath Interesting choice for a halloween song I always thought it was more of a breakup/losing your love kind of song Yeah, I just go for the mood of the song; it doesn't need to be about something related to Halloween, just needs to sound good along the ones that do. Great list Stev0! Gloomy Sunday, what a great song. (I preferr Sarah Mclacklan's version, though) Siouxsie & The Banshees and Bauhaus are a must for the season! Her's my second installment : In The Wake Of Poseidon - King Crimson Halloween movie theme Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You - Led Zeppelin Sense Of Doubt - David Bowie Riders On The Storm - The Doors Never Met A Girl Like You - Edwin Collins Still You Turn Me On - ELP An Index Of Metals - Fripp & Eno Queer - Garbage A Stroke Of Luck - Garbage Whistlin' Passed The Graveyard - Tom Waits Down By The Water - PJ Harvey Leave It Open - Kate Bush Mother Stands For Comfort - Kate Bush Waking The Witch - Kate Bush The Fog - Kate Bush Battle Of Evermore - Led Zeppelin She Moved Through The Fair - Loreena McKennitt Stolen Child - Loreena McKennitt Kellswater - Loreena McKennitt

He was quite charming. I too feared the worst given his well known - and almost certainly deserved - reputation. We talked guitars for a couple of minutes - he explained why he used steel strung acoustics rather than nylon strung classicals for the BN stuff. I asked him about my 2 fave Blackmore solos ( Burn & Gates of Babylon) and he was happy to talk about them. He even asked me about my own classical guitar playing when he could see I knew what I was talking about. Candice Night too was delightful - sweet, modest and very lovely. All in all, a nice (and unexpected) encounter, despite the personal embarrassment of meeting one of my heroes whilst wearing a pair of women's tights..

Trust me on this Xan. The tights were entirely justified artistically..
