Anyone? Currently playing Frantic, maybe Bete Noire for the drive home... Even Kate liked Bryan Ferry, I saw her say so herself, albeit nearly 20 years ago.

I'm not really keen on either but I do like Roxy music's Love is the Drug, and for the Bryan Ferry side I quite like his version of Jealous Guy which I actually prefer to the John Lennon version.

I don't know much about Bryan Ferry solo, but I like a lot of Roxy. I remember I ran into (literally) Ferry at the Rock Circus in London. I said "excuse me" politely only to realize I was talking to a wax figure of Bryan Ferry! ;D I love "Angel Eyes", "A Really Good Time", "Both ends Burning", "Love is the Drug" and I really like another song I can't recall the name of "Bittersweet"? Does that sound right?

I bet you felt like a right dummy? I guess you could say that. At least I'm not the only one who posted a bad pun today. Well, it was April fool's... ;D

Roxy Music shades it for me. They were so creative when they started, and had this other-wordly quality going on. I was watching Eno recently on a television political debate programme we have, called "Question Time". He handled himself pretty well in the company of some British political heavyweights. He looked alarmingly normal in his jacket and tie.
Bryan Ferry is great though. Who'd have thought that old 40s crooning style would ever come back and Ferry does it brilliantly. Robbie Williams and Rod Stewart have both had recent Amercian standards style albums out, and done well with them. I think Ferry would have done that sort of thing so much better.
At the risk of utter humiliation, I'd just add that I bought my 1st bow tie after watching BF performing Smoke Gets in Your Eyes. What can I say? I was young..

though i find both roxy music & bryan ferry important to the world of music. i would have to lean towards roxy music. they helped from music at a time when it was needed. influenced alot of people (or at least from interviews iv read of bands that list them as a influence)
but bryan ferry's solo material is full of heartache & love. this i like!
