i just finished REALLY listening to it.
this is art!
this is creativaty(sp)!
this is beautiful!
i can see where some people have to take time w/ it. but i've always found bjork's music to be that way anyways.
i've gotta say this may be my favorite record by her. i actually had tears in my eyes while listening to it. its very vunerable & gentle. what a brave approach to create!
"desired constellation" is SO INCREDABLY BEAUTIFUL! MY GOODNESS! makes me want to cry everytime i hear it.
the sounds she chose on that track sound like soft silver rain. it dances. "how am i going to make it right" WHAT A SIMPLE & POWERFUL LINE!!!!
im truely blown away by this incrediable record.

I've always been a fan of her's. However, this one will have to grow on me a bit. She is brilliant, however, I think I prefer her older stuff better. I'll give this another listen. It may be that her methodology and phrasing is too predictible for me now.

I am also a fan of bjork's music and i think that medulla is the most interesting thing she's ever done. there was nothing like medulla in today's music business, a record like this which is very experiemental but still (quite) successful in terms of popularity and sales. I thinks that tracks like "pleasure is all mine" and "oceania" are one of her best songs in her career.
I really think that it takes time to adjust to such an album and learn to appreciate it.

I really think that it takes time to adjust to such an album and learn to appreciate it. That is a fair statement. I do not own this album as of yet. My only exposure has been listening to samples from it @ Amazon - which do not do justice to how her music must develop.

I hate those 30 seconds samples that amazons gives you, how can you understand and maybe appreciate a song when you hear only 30 seconds of it?
