What are your favourites? (Apart, of course, from Ms Bush!) My personal favourites: Depeche Mode and U2. I also like Simple Minds, The Cure, The Beatles, Siouxie and the Banshees etc.... Kate Bush is by far, my favourite female artist though!

Celine Dion, Anastacia, Shania Twain and I love music from Cirque Du Soleil I agree on Cirgue Du Soliel. Didn't you forget Cyndi Lauoer, Lori, or have you moved on? I've listed my favorites so many times on so many threads that, if you're interested, you'll have to look for them.

You must really like "Dead Can Dance'' and ''Replacements'' 'cos you listed them twice . Also I can hear the influence of Gerrard and ''DCD" on the samples you provided on another thread. I have them listed as some of my favorites as well (posted on various threads here) Cirque Du Soliel is one I would have expected on your list too. I'm also impressed with your appreciation for Patsy Cline. What an extraordinary talent, Thanks for sharing. btw. Do you know what the 'Joy Division' was?

dead can dance lisa gerrard depeche mode peter gabriel angelo badalament pink floyd And U2 from the above lists. Of course, like Al, I think I have made some list here before of my faves. SoundGallery, you must like Julee Cruise (Badalamenti reference)? If you do, are you on the forum? I love here. Some members her who like the ethereal creepiness of Kate's sound would like her, like Night Scented Stock. Her vocals literally float in the darkness.

I have a very random taste in music... 1. Kate Bush (of course...) 3. David Bowie 6. Radiohead 7. Portishead 8. Sex Pistols 10. Gwen Stefani Many of us here have widely ecclectic musical taste. I picked the ones of your's that I especially like as well - albeit Gwen Steffani has more to do with her style. Sto's a big Alanis Morrissette fan, as he'll let you know.

Ithink that she is one of the most important women in the history of music, she is very experiemental and almost every record of her is something diffrent although she put out a lot of albums Joni Mitchell is amoung my top ten female favorite artists. Her writing, her voice and her musical instincts are impeccable. Along with Ms Bush she is in the company of Billie Holiday, Patsy Cline, Sade and KD Lang and Loreena McKennitt (these are the female artists with my most respect and admiration)

Sto's a big Alanis Morrissette, as he'll let you know. I am indeed! In fact, like you Cathy, Kate's my #1 and Alanis is my #2! My username here was originally "stoicsquirm" which comes from Alanis' amazing song "Univited" ('Must be strangely exciting to watch the stoic squirm'). Which are your favoruite Alanis songs?

Thanks for the quote Sto;, I noticed an error tho', I must be slipping. You are not a big Alanis Morissette, but rather a big Alanis Morrissette fan. 'Twice today I've had to edit. ;D
