Hi Joey,
I like to think that this place genuinely is an oasis in the desert for Kate Bush fans. It's great to welcome you on board, and I hope to see you around..

;D nice one! thanks for replying so soon. I have always thought it was quite rare to be a kate bush fan, (most of my friends are in their mid thirties, and my girlfriends sister introduced me to kate- ) but maybe i was a fan before 1982, when i was born; if that sounds bearable!! (reincarnation and all that) anyway, its late so i am off to bed, but thanks again for replying, and take care to all of you. lets wait and see what her 2005 album brings! byeee joey

wow, a proper Kate Bush place Hello- I am Joey, and I am 22. I hope to get to know some people through this website, as there seems to be a certain charisma to a Kate Bush fan.? here's about me; I am a musician, I play piano and sing. I get great inspiration from Kate's early work- I was on LSD a few yrs ago, and my friend put on the Live at Hammersmith Odeon VHS- I guess i was never the same again!! Well, musically ive never been the same. I also love photography, eyes in particular. that may have something to do with some of k8s videos..? I am a Libra, I love to socialise and have a free feeling. anyway- I just want to say well done to you guys, and THANK YOU for devoting your time and energy to such a wonderful woman, and her fans. Take care, whoever is reading this (if anyone is reading this!!) joey x You are one of many Libra's here. We do hope you continue to post your thought's and opinion's here.

well thankyou, it's so refreshing to see such nice posts from genuine people. where I live, in Lincoln, UK- people here are so cold, and closed in, its very hard to make new friends or simply have a decent conversation that is positive. I think this is a lovely site, and I really appreciate your attitude towards me. I am currently trying to learn 'december will be magic again' on my piano. I just bought the 'moments of pleasure' cd single as it has 'december' on it. its strange, over the last three or four years, I have grown to Kate's music as if she is in the charts now. Music is so different now, there is no inspiration or creativity? though I do think that the scissor sisters are quite entertaining!! sorry, I am waffling on now, but just want to say TAKE CARE to everyone, and I hope your all happy wherever you are joey xxxx

Hello Joey I'm new here also but an 'old' Kate fan. I don't know Kate's year of birth but I'd guess I'm around the same I have to say, this does seem a nice place to be. I'm a LEO by the way! RA

It's great to hear all your positive comments Joey, and I'm glad you like it here As for the 'waffling', don't worry about it. That wasn't waffling anyway, it's the type of thing we love to hear (well at least I do ). When I was first discovering Kate's music, I felt as though she was just in the charts too (and that was only about 3 years ago). I felt as though she was around now, and each time I bought a new album, it was as if it had just been released, so exciting, hehe ;D Now I'm probably waffling, hehe As for Kate's year of birth, I believe it was 1958

;D yeah, she should be around 47 then..? 48 this august. I think that she still looks absolutly fabulous I am bisexual, and I think that she is, just IS the most attractive woman i have ever seen (jude law being nicest looking guy!!) i hope that hasn't changed anyones opinion of me..? i do live with my girlfriend (she is 39 this year) we share the same birthday week. well, its 1.20am - and i just cant make myself feel tired wish i had a large supply of valium or something!! my girlfriend, her three boys, and I are moving to Oxford this summer. I really cant wait. I was born there, and we moved to Lincoln in 1989 when i was 7. I can't think why on earth my parents did such a mean thing!! In my town there is just cows, sheep, fields and inbred families!! I MUST ESCAPE SOON!! oh no- i have just smoked my last ciggarette hey, i wonder what Bertie looks like...? i hope he looks like his mother, that would be awesome! wow, imagine Kate being your mother....? though, actually, 'Never forever' has that alarming 'infant kiss' though it is a beautiful melody, the lyrics are just too much really!! I know its based on that film / novel, but come on man!! oh well, i guess it takes alot to produce material of such taboo genre. incest and paedophilia!! you have to respect her daring and thought provoking ways!! here i go again waffling!! anyway, take care guys, joey xxxxxxx

The only proclivities we're concerned with are those that accept other Kate fans.

I'm guessing that your sexuality is of no consequence here - certainly isn't to me. That we can love and be loved is what matters. I have occasionally contemplated whether or not some of Kate's lyrics suggest bisexuality, but usually dismiss it as irrelevant.
As to the Infant Kiss, take a look at the Deeper Understanding Board for some comments on this song. I was alarmed by the lyrical content for the first 18 months or so of my hearing the song, but a close study of the words and some knowledge of the film on which it was based does much to alleviate any concerns of pro-paedophillia. I'm most of the way there I think, and Xan has some valuable insights too, so take a look if you haven't already..
