Lori, I think it would be nice to have a"Front Door" to the message board and your web-site. It would head the 'general board' with 'doors' to the other boards, links and websites. Back and side doors could be click-on URL's to your web-site and Kate Bush related links. (I would include Gaffaweb, if that's possible) But you would have to have a 'Key'* (see below) Maybe a 'Porch Light' board where only news items are posted. Also a board named-' *Key' (you can only get a key if you're a member) It could be placed under the welcome mat. It would have instructions on how to use the board. such as how to search, post in color, navigate etc. It could also unlock links such as 'Gaffaweb' TM, 'Merriam-Webster' TM online dictionary even an anagram search engine for people to refer to while posting, by listing those URL's to click onto. I think you'd get more new people to post. . It would also make it easier for everyone to post better quality material. People that don't sign up (guests) must sneak in through "The Window" board under the "Front Door"

Sure Lori, It is a bit complex, but basically you'd add 4 boards: 1) "Porch Light" above welcome the welcome mat board reserved for Kate Bush news items only or just a formal link to your website. 2) "Master Key" placed under the welcome mat board. It would have instructions and links to resources.(dictionary, thesarus, anagram solver, gaffaweb etc.)that would make posting easier and more fun. 3) "Front Door" would be the way members only would enter the site. It would replace the 'General Board" and lead members to other 'doors' e.g. back door = your web-site. side door = links to other Kate Bush sites. These doors would only be click on URL's. But generally the board would be an invitation to the rest of the boards. 4) 'Cathy's Window' For those out in the cold (guest) who must enter the site this way if they don't have a 'key' They can look in the window, but as it is now, the must register for their key to post. The key is awarded when a new member joins. It would be their password. Just me brainstorming Use some, all or none of it.

I like the idea especially of 'Cathy's Window', only we get hardly no guests posting

Yeah, but that's what we need more of. Maybe that would encourage more of our guests to post, or better yet- join and post. Does anybody else think that resources to improve posting is worth doing?

Ok, we'll give it a go. So guests can ONLY post through 'Cathy's Window'. I'm going out now but will sort it tonight

Hey Lori, I just got back from your website. I solved the anagram with the 'Wordsmith' anagram rearrangement service. It took about a minute on the advanced board. This is a free service. So is Merriam-Webster online dictionary and thesarus. (In case you want to link them in the member tools area or "master key" board) ;D
