I really wish I could help you there, but I have only been able to actually get my hand on NTSC versions. Have you tried Ebay? I don't think they go for too much, do they? Be sure to get an actual version, not a copy, since they are still out there.
Speaking of Hammersmith, does anyone else feel a little slighted about this version? Adey you saw the show, right? Why is so short on the VHS? I mean, I'm glad to have it at all. And why only 5 live official tracks on the EP? I have the Dreamtime bootleg, and the rest of the performances are great. Any thoughts?
The show is really worth seeing. Don't let my thoughts deter you. I am only curious as to why it doesn't seem to be the full length.
Do you think Kate could feel uncomfortable about the live performances? It seems they are the rarest.

I never understood why the video was so short and have commented on it before.
I'm betting that there's film sitting in a vault somewhere, rejected for reasons of quality control or maybe technical problem. Whilst the tour of life wasn't played out on the biggest stages, domestic theatres mainly, the action stretched the full width and depth of the stage areas. I think that filming the performances effectively and at reasonable cost would have represented quite a challenge. I'm thinking of the trick photography sequences in the Official Hammersmith video (mirror image Kate etc).. There was more than enough for audiences to see - something going on all over the stage - for this not to have been necessary. I can only assume that it is to fill the screen and fill in for any technical gaffes on the night.
Alternatively, maybe we have to speculate that Kate only wanted the most visually effective sequences to survive the nervous white light of the stage and be committed to the calm persistance of celluloid.. For all it's effect in an intimate setting with an attentive audience, a song like The Kick Inside which stunned me in the theatre, may have looked pretty sparse when viewed back on a monitor.
Actually, I'm still hopeful for an official DVD release of the tour one day. Just think of the extras! Extra footage too? Oh please....

With renewed interest in her past catalogue stemming from the upcoming release, who knows what will be in store?
