OK, this isn't the most sensible/intellectually-stimulating question ever, but what the heck. Wouldn't Kate have got pretty dizzy doing the head-twirling in "Eat The Music"? She does it for what, two minutes? Three? I know she collapses at the end, but I'm surprised she doesn't earlier... It's amazing to watch though. All that hair flying, combined with that amazing fruit dress. And when the two women head-twirl either side of her, it's really effective. I love the song a lot more because of the video, I think it needs the visual stimulant to bring out the excitement contained in the song. The walking on fruit at the beginning is so aesthetically pleasing too. I wonder if this was the four minutes of "The Line, The Cross And The Curve" that Kate said she was pleased with?

Help me remember Sto'. (I guess I could go watch it first ) But was this recorded on a continous loop? Perhaps there were several takes?

Oh, I never thought of that! Oh, that spoils it! But I don't think Kate would do that, would she? It would be like just repeating the vocals for the first chorus she sung in a song without bothering to re-record them/change it in later choruses... I'll watch again and see if I can differentiate between head-twirls

Without actually watching the video to confirm, I think that it cuts back and forth between the guy, Kate, and the three woman.
Towards the end it stays on Kate and the guy doing the swirly bit.
In the end it's all down to clever editing that gives the impression that she was swirling her head for an insane amount of time.

You're all so cynical! Kate may have been spinning her head for an insane amount of time...*adds to list of things I'll ask her when we meet for tea and crumpets*.

Believe ME it's the editing.
Which direction does she spin her head?
If she's going anti clockwise then there's less chance of her getting dizzy.
(Try spinning on the spot going clockwise, then spin around in the opposite direction. You'll find that you have less chance of losing your balance than if you were to just stop after spinning clockwise.)

What with my head twirling avatar and your swirling around the forest avatar, I'm surprised that 1: She hasn't fainted yet and 2: I haven't fainted yet.

Paul, I watched "The Line..." yesterday and I have to say, don't think any of it's repeated. I also don't think she did it all in one take. I reckon she did a few seconds of spinning each time: you can tell because her hair falls differently, and what's going on behind her is different every time. Unless she was doing it to a green screen or something? Did they have green screens in 1993?

The only way to acheive it would be through clever editing. Some shot's may've been repeated to extend the effect and it's possible that more than one camera was used. I'll have to watch it myself to see. And yup, They had green screen in 93' You should've listened to me in the first place Rob. ;D

LOL! Yes, do watch it, and look closely at her hair! And to answer one of your previous qs, I think she spins her head clockwise - even worse!!
