Does anybody know if this is still available on video? Mine is now getting distinctly cranky. I noticed in HMV yesterday that there were no KB videos on the shelves. Maybe an indicator of some impending DVD releases?

I bought mine 2nd hand from amazon uk marketplace.
they currently have a 2nd hand copy although the person selling wants about 35 quid.
it'd have t' be good for that price.

Amazon has a place where you can request TLTCATC on DVD! They have no copies currently available but are willing to let you know when one comes in. Does such a product even exist?Seeing as how my VHS copy is gone, probably for good, I'd love to know. Someone in America was selling it (the tape I mean) for $50 (which now that I think about it is about 35 quid, I think... )

I've always found the rumour of TLTCTC being on DVD in the States a bit odd as it's never been available on DVD in the U.K.

It's never been released on DVD but it did get released on Laserdisc (the thing that flopped before the DVD was invented). It could be people are mixing it up.
I've got a video cd of it though, probably transferred from the VHS tape. If anybody's interested, drop me an e-mail and I'll make you a copy.

It's that time of year when I like to sit down with a cup of tea and watch this wonderful film and wonder if we will ever receive such a gift again. Well, that's what I planned to do this afternoon but unfortunately I couldn't find it so I thought The Wizard of Oz would do instead (it's a very poor second, I know ) and I was reminded of so many TLTCATC moments (I think this has been brought up before). I'm aware the red shoes is a 1940's film and fairy tale but even so there are many similarities with TWOO as well as certain visual/story parts in TLTCATC which are Kate's imaginings. Magic red shoes - “Those slippers will never come off, as long as you're alive” - Witch to Dorothy TWOO Evil Witch The comfort of an older woman – Lily/Aunt Em appearing in the crystal ball; Dorothy tells her how frightened she is Three 'virtues': The Lion – Courage The Tinman – Heart The Scarecrow – Intelligence The Curve - Happiness The Cross - Heart The Line – Life Line Finding your way home Snow – Cancelling out bad spells There were lot's of other bits and pieces such as the Scarecrow being left unstuffed by the flying monkey's reminded me of the part where Just Kate's top half is visible and the rest is under the floor and someone else's legs are kicking. I can imagine Kate enjoying TWOO and of course TLTCATC takes a lot from the dance sequence and storyline from the Red Shoes film/fairy tale but I can't believe TWOO hasn't been of some influence too.
