After meeting with a local film director, my usual collaborator and I accepted commissions for 2 pieces of music and delivered promptly to very satisfied customers.
1) Was a chase music sequence and voice over for a TV advert for a self defence video. To be shown on Sky TV in the next few months.
2) Theme tune for a new UK children's TV series called "Moo The Monster", (!) currently with an animation company. Needless to say, writing music for children is a first for me..
Seems we have a talent for this sort of stuff, and might even make a little money for a change!

I'm so excited for you, Adey! ;D That's really wonderful. I'd love to hear the pieces when you're ready. Please post links so we can enjoy them. I only wish I could see them in context on the television, but I guess the computer will have to do. Good luck with them... I'm sure they'll be excellent.

It would seem odd to me to make this sort of material available for your listening pleasure. It's purpose written rather than being any sort of personal music statement, but they're all my (our) little babies I guess..
As I understand it, The TV advert "Survive the Streets" does not have any sort of web presence, but I know that "Moo the Monster" does have a site currently under development. I can however, send MP3 files of the tunes/song (but not the synchronised TV visuals unfortunately) to any web address if anyone is really interested..

And Moo The Monster seems very cute as well. I played it aloud for my husband (without mentioning what it was), and he suggested it was something Kate had done! That should be a compliment. ;D Just think... if this is even reasonably popular, you'll have children all over the country singing your tune for the next 25 years. I still have Sesame Street songs in my head, so I should know. LOL ;D Thanks for sharing it Adey!

Thank you, although on listening to it today I see that for some reason the woman who commissioned it has put my original demo version on the website. The definitive piece is properly mastered, contains a much more lush arrangement and has a better vocal performance from the young lady who sang it.

Well, sometimes the demos can be little gems themselves, right? Can't wait to hear the full version when you get it sorted.

Excellent! Very hi-brow whilst still being interesting for children. Off-beat timing and punctuation points make this diddy very interesting indeed. And you can tell a Kate fan had a hand in the production.

Life is wonderful thanks Adey, just returned from The Highlands of Scotland with my new beau, having visited many stone circles and experienced several beautiful rainbows...
