I was much amused by an article in the UK Daily Mirror, recently:
Eight Classic Books in 100 Words -
The Bible:
"In the beginning God created Heaven & Earth and he saw that it was good. But a little dark.
So God said, "let there be light, oh and by the way, don't eat the apples."
But Eve didn't listen so God kicked her and Adam out of the Garden.
Then there was a flood that lasted 40 nights and Noah rounded up all the animals two by two so they were saved.
Except for the unicorns.
After that, it was just one damn thing after another with mankind. so God sent his only Son, Jesus, to save us. Unfortunately, it didn't work.."
A Classic Book in 100 Words:
Anyone up to the challenge?

Honor once prevailed, hiding an oppression in the Southern United States.. There a once carefree lovesick Scarlett O'Hara found strength in the roots of her Irish upbringing and beloved home-place, Tara. There she'd find determination to overcome a world that would be Gone With the Wind. The Civil War ravaged her lifestyle. She'd, by whatever means necessary survive. She'd betray family, marry the blockade running scoundrel Rhett Butler whilst longing for her first love Ashley Wilkes. Ultimately she'd learn he was unattainable. Rhett then left saying frankly he didn't give a damn. Tara calls her home to a new day.

Good one.
and now ~
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare:
ROME. The Forum
ACT 1 SCENE1
Antony: Friends Romans Countrymen, lend me your ears
Hamlet: To be or not to be, that is the question?
Romeo: But soft! What light through yonder window breaks?
Gloucester: Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son of York.
Romeo: No! It is the east, and Juliet is the Sun!
(Gloucester and Romeo draw swords and fight. Enter Macbeth)
Macbeth: Is this a dagger I see before me?
Macbeth accidentally stabs Juliet and she dies. Romeo then swallows poison and dies while others join in the scuffle. They all die.
