Any new members should check out the previous post on this thread for a really good Kate Bush link.

I'm digging up this thread so some of the new members can listen to and comment on all these early Kate creations.

Just heard this song for the first time ever (and I'm at college ;D ). Nice! Reminds me quite a bit of 'It Hurts Me', dunno why. But great site to heard all the demos. I was meaning to visit it months ago but never actually did get round to it

This might be a bit over the top but I think this is my favourite Kate song ever. I would have completely identified with the lyrics when I was young. Now I'm 31 I can look back differently but there's a very real sadness there. I can understand though why the first few music people who heard her stuff thought it depressing. To a group of middle aged insensitive men it probably was.

Where Are The Lionhearts On The Rocks / Lionhearts (Written by Kate Bush) [The Phoenix Recordings, Demo, 1976] Destiny took me in her arms and told me: "You're a little lost on the fall. You fall for all the men You shouldn't fall for, at all." Ooh, I know she knows, but still I go on, Well, I'm a fool. Climbing up the (l)adders To slide down the adders On the rocks, On the rocks, On the rocks, On the rocks... Joan of Arc walks into my mirror, A burning sword. I'd like to cry. I look into her eyes. I see she's seen, the long days and nigh(t). "Ooh," she says, "The games are still the same, I see, But they've changed the names now. Are all Lionhearts put in parks, apart?" Lionhearts in the asylums, Lionhearts tossed at sea, Lionhearts who've lived their lives, like Arthur. Lionhearts in cathedrals, Lionhearts at mournings, Lionhearts in every seed But they're sown On the rocks, On the rocks, On the rocks, On the rocks... Somebody I couldn't see Tied me up and put me away, Here on the rocks, Here on the rocks, Here on the rocks... Kate Bush - Were are the Lionheartswww.youtube.com/watch?v=FeTeDSMIDR4
