RE: Server 6 (Us)

If you are experiencing trouble on server 6 use the following:

- If you have boards/threads missing, use the 'Fix a Board' option in your administrative menu.

- If you have PM's (personal messages) missing they cannot be retrieved.

We are aware that there are further issues with the server. We are doing our best to fix the problems.

Well, I guess it's a good thing that they're working on it at it's the server with the problem, not our board. Hopefully things will start to look up.

Things are looking up. ;D I wonder if the threads will come back? Anyway please delete all my negative stuff.

Maybe we can trim our own fat and archive some things on a locked board. Easy for me to say, but is that a lot of work Lori?

What did you want deleting Al? I thought that all members could delete their own messages. Is that not true?

I can delete my posts. I just thought after we get everything sorted, you could delete all the threads that air our problems. No need in our guests seeing them. Besides they serve no purpose after the problems are fixed.

Still a small glitch, if you click on the top 20 posters legend, you get the server work progress messages and choice of server 1/6 (as opposed to details of the top 20 posters!)

Is this something that Lori needs to reset?

i noticed this earlier.you can still see the top 20 posters by clicking on top 20 posters within the members section.

I tried this again this morning. It seems to be OK now.
I note that this Board is now on servers 1&6. As it was no 6 that was giving us troubles, I re-entered onto server no 1. (The system gave us the choice yesterday -as it said that our ISPs still had to update the new settings.

Does anyone know if server 1 is the way to go? Are we still getting a choice when we log on? Does it really matter anyway?

I only get one choice, # 1. However, this site is on my 'favorites' menu and is pulled up from there.

The reason that the top 20 posters link isn't working is because I've set the link for server 6 (proboards6.com) and at the moment we're on server 1 (proboards1.com). I'm not going to change the link just yet because I don't know if server 1 is temporary or not

I'm reckoning we're on server 1 for good.(I could be wrong though)
According to proboards.com,this new server (1) is supposed to be 4x faster.
(again I probably got this wrong as well).

Its on my faves too Sven, but I still got the 6/1 choice. I selected 1 then reset my favourites. As long as we've got it and its stable, thats the main thing I guess.

The Artwork on your posts gets more and more extreme - I like it!!
