I don't really visit any other probaords message boards, but I fear that we're very active for a free message board. Do you think it will only hold so much per message board and once we reach that everything will... blow up?

I've come to believe that we only have trouble when certain threads get too full. Especially during server problems. However, there is an immense amout of room available. Over 300,000 proboards are out there, and the number is growing. They can keep up. However, to be on the safe side, if I were you Lori, I would: * Lock Threads when they reach 50 posts. Then start a new version of it. * Have a "Hall of Fame" with the best threads in them. Call it "Craft of Love" describe it as a hall of fame. Threads would be locked and only you could add new ones. People could comment on them at the "General Board" Members must vote in 10 to start and 1 or 2 every six months. * Periodically trim the fat - have polls to delete certain threads or posts. Call it "Get Outta My House" - only unanimous choices get booted out. e.g. posts with no responses, threads that say "moved" ( unless that affects the moved version of the thread ) ) or just negative or unneccessary stuff. * Also delete things that violate the "TOS" We could be shut down, if we don't police ourselves. Have a note in the header asking members to IM you to report violations.
