Army Dreamers..........."What a waste!" Breathing...................."The fools blew it!" Experiment IV.............."To kill someone from a distance!" Pull out the pin............"But I love life!" Lionheart....................."Bring me home!"
From war to peace, our aim is fair, we need to end the conflict there. Just still the mind and think as one, the peace we want, has come.

MT,
I'm impressed with how succinctly you boiled down the lyrics. How did you like the musical aspects of the list?
********************************************
Lori,
There's alot going on with Experiment IV, don't you think?
* Our (A) government's subversive intrusion in people's lovelife? * A commentary on how dangerous it is to fall in love? * The power of music over our emotions? * None or all of the above?
I'm sure Kate has her own interpretation. I am also fairly sure she had rather you enjoy the music and draw your own conclusions. We should think creatively and independently.

I'm not very familiar with that song yet. As I listen to all her album's except 'The Whole Story'. I thought all the songs on 'TWS' were on other studio album's forgetting about 'Experiment IV' so I need to listen more carefully to it now

Lori, I know what you mean about not listening to 'TWS" as much. It messes up in what sequence I'm used to hearing the songs. 'The Whole Story' is a better introductory, or teaser album, to me. The nuances and complexities of the B-sides and the lesser known work are contained in her other recordings.

'The Whole Story' was my first ever album of Kate's. I hadn't even heard of any of her albums, I'd just heard a few of her songs ('Wuthering Heights', 'Babooshka' and 'December Will Be Magic Again') and I thought her music was really cool. Then I got 'TWS' for Christmas - yay ;D

Yeah, 'TWS' is a great introduction to the work of Kate Bush. It apparently had quite the impact on you.

Al, It is difficult for me to answer about the musical aspects of this list of songs because I love everything Kate has ever done. However, I will say that if you listen to them in sequence, what strikes you is the diversity of sound she achieves in different songs.
Kate`s ability to describe feelings with sounds ensures the kind of following she has despite putting no new material out for nearly ten years.

Hey Lori, Should we e-mail Malcolm? Haven't heard from him for a few days. Oh Yeah, I'll start a new thread for the next playlist.
